Time to say goodbye for volcano-thank you for all support :) would it cover all of florida or just a few miles inland? i'm 3 miles from the water but i have family about 40 miles inland. i can't imagine i would make it to our cabin in northwest,ga so i'm trying to figure out a plan just incase or am i just completely fucked? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80106886 The animation a few pages back shows most of Florida under water, or completely underwater if the slide is big enough. Best bet is to get on a boat and get out to sea. I don't think you need to be too far out to sea...even one mile out should do it. You might have a wave of about a foot high at that point. The wave doesn't get serious until closer to land. I still wouldn’t do it especially with 300+ mph water coming at you |

It seems like a good time to take a little stroll inland and check out the air in one of the villages/towns/mountains. Time to say goodbye for volcano-thank you for all support :) A volcanic eruption DOES NOT mean a chunk of the island will crash into the ocean. It might just erupt, and no big deal. If something did break off, I am highly suspicious of the tidal wave size and damage estimates. But the East Coast of the U.S. would certainly flood, and maybe take CAT 5 Hurricane damage on the entire coast. The idea of a tidal wave reaching the Appalachian Mountain Range sounds ridiculous to me. This would not be Noah's Flood, nor the Yellowstone Super Volcano. However, I live in Florida (Gulf Side) and I did ponder what I would do if I only had a few hours notice. With a hurricane there is some notice, but freeways will be clogged instantly, and come to a standstill. I'd like to get to a tall, well built hotel, with a room up high. Hopefully an elevated parking garage too! And close to my home. A hotel on Clearwater Beach with a window view of the Gulf of Mexico would be great. And room service before the lower floors flood. Hopefully, the hotel does not get washed away! But most likely, I'll just get in my kayak and wait for the water to come, or maybe even the BIG WAVE...and I'll surf my kayak on that wave until I hit a tree, or a wall, and then...THAT's IT! ------------------------------------ MOVIE: THE IMPOSSIBLE TSUNAMI WAVE SCENE 8:30 LONG (If you have not seen this scene, it's really worth watching. The rest of the movie sucks.) Last Edited by ThirstyMarlin! on 09/14/2021 03:44 AM Marlin! |
