That's what I saw, too. Was a breakthrough, small one, when upper vent blew out particularly violently. The jet just keeps getting bigger, and responds (I think) to the pressure in the upper vent. At least seems to me....

I hadn't yet seen that. That is very cool. I made a

The differences in the sea depths--past the "shelf" where
the current lava is making new land--is why the opinions
vary on the risk level of mega-tsunamis...I can't even
begin to imagine how they could get an accurate handle
in "feet" for a proposed wave. But I really do not think
the big risk is from the new lava land to "break off"
...doesn't sound plausible to me. (That's in that video
someone posted.)

It will be interesting to see at the point where lava
does spill over the last feet of the existing shelf off
La Palma island--if there is any push-back (cause and
effect) for it. We'll see fairly soon.
