In case anyone is interested, La Palm has had 61 earthquakes in the last 24 hrs between 4am Sunday and 4am Monday.

has it rained yet since this erupted? i wonder how that will react with the vents and active lava fields

on the west side? clouds usually get hung up on mountains because of trade winds i read somewhere.

Sounds like there are two chambers, the upper one with old lava which gets the pressure from lower fresh lava. But they said millions of eruptions were needed to build up the island.

This sounds not plausible to me, looks more like fitting. Millions of eruptions would mean billions of years, while the continents of Earth moved around. Not plausible.

I have to reboot. This laptop has a non-working fan and
it overheats. Don't need a volcano happening here!

While I'm here consider an alternate scenario.

There are several 7.++ EQ's and suddenly ALL the live feed cameras go down.

BOOOM SILENCE. No words. No video. NO live feed. Everything is off line. We are ALL expecting the lower SOUTH WEST quarter of the island, under the right circumstances, to sheer off and drop 17,000 ft into the Atlantic abyss.

Minutes pass ... Suddenly BBB comes on a live feed looking typically FREEEEKED out and horrified but this time he really is!! He announces the bottom SOUTH WEST quarter of the island is INTACT but ... but the rest of LaPalma just sheared off and dropped into the Atlantic.

Instead of a 500 to 600 CUBIC MILE LANDSLIDE ( expected if it was the S. W. 1/4 of the island ) it's just under 2,000 cubic miles of tsunami causing rock slide / displacement.

Everybody!! QUICK!! RE-CALCULATE the size of the wave that hits western Europe and then the entire EAST coast of North and South America.
