If the data from the 1700's geologists note tells us anything, these eruptions can seem to stop for a few days, then explode with strombolian activity out of nowhere. CC's idea of a plumbing collapse could be on point. Will it lead to ground deformation and a blowout? perhaps. Maybe it is the end; of the eruption. Only way to tell is to wait until Friday for IGN to publish this weeks data.

It is mighty curious that all siesmic activity stopped so abruptly. CC, what is the concern you have regarding that link you just posted? indicative of building pressure or something?
