Something's VERY wrong here. Well, of course it is. Judging by the shopping plazas in my area, 41% of the businesses have already failed. I went shopping at the outlets the other day. The one center has several storefronts with going out of business liquidation signs in the window. The other one is setup like a mall. Almost the entire south wing is empty. Basically half the mall. The other mall used to have 70-something outlets in it. There are only 6 left! I expect this one will shut down by the end of the year. It's dead, Jim. Then you have the local shopping centers. Pretty much every one of these has several vacancies, both large and small units. Even the OfficeMax vacated. The Fantastic Sam's I got my haircut at the last 7 years (they were open for 13) went tits up in February. Same thing with the sushi place I used to frequent - he was open for 10 years and went bust in January. He actually managed to sell the place and I even met the new owners however, they never reopened. Place is still sitting with the lights off. I know of a bunch of bars that are delinquent on their taxes and probably going to have licenses pulled soon. The one guy owns multiple and has put all except one up for sale. |

GDP crashing in a similar fashion. Who knows what the driver is behind Deagle... Down 2/3 sounds pretty unrealistic to me. I could buy 1/3 though. There is a generation that is approaching the age of departure, and they're quite a large one. The latest bout of flu seems to be accelerating it. I think the push for vax might have something to do with economic fears surrounding the mass die-off. We're approaching the middle of that Bell curve. Without their consumption there will be less demand for products resulting in oversupply and crashing prices. Of course, from an economic perspective, it would be ideal to drag out the wind down as long as possible to preclude a sudden collapse. |

Duh! 20 years of extending the debt ceiling and printing money nonstop and this was inevitable. If you look at the docs from the Fed about fractional reserve... We've been in the last stage of the cycle since '08. Should have blown up then but the QE and money printing staved it off but it was really a band-aid on an axe wound. If you were alive to observe the collapse of the USSR... That's where we are right now. The money is worthless. The only way out is to print more. Once we downgrade to junk bond status the fun will really begin. The world keeps going along to get along because a failure of the reserve currency is going to take everyone else with it just like dominoes. Keep an eye on Deutsch Bank.
