Re: Why is the rapture so hated and makes so many angry? Almost like demonic forces want it suppressed. Why hatred?
The main point of this thread was to try and grasp why anti pre trib people are so hateful about a teaching from Paul and the early church fathers, calling it evil and saying it is "Dangerous".

I believe it and I spread the gospel where I can, I trust in Christ and I follow the Holy Spirit. The idea that is makes a person lazy is backwards. People who are looking for the Trib and the antichrist are generally prepping, fearful and scared. There is a spirit of anxiety of fear and also a real preoccupation on keeping their lives in this world going as long as they can. I am ready for Jesus, be it death it rapture, right now. Heaven awaits, and a perfected body and the constant presence of God!

Marantha indeed!

Re: Why is the rapture so hated and makes so many angry? Almost like demonic forces want it suppressed. Why hatred?
Because the "secret rapture" doctrine is not biblical and would not even be in anyones minds if Cyrus Scofield didnt include it in his margin notes 100+ years ago.

As for the danger of such a false doctrine, it leads people to believe they will skip the mark of the beast crisis and the time of Jacobs trouble.

Scripture teaches Christ does not return until the 7th last plague is in effect. Not before. And not in secret.
 Quoting: LightShines

Wrong. It is contained in the New Testament and the Apostles got it from II Esdras where it is clearly taught and it is contained in the Ephraim Document from Antioch circa 300 AD and it was revived by the Brazilian Catholic Monk Lacunza in his work, "The coming of the Messiah in Glory and Majesty" where Edward Irving got it from him and gave it to Darby who popularized it.

The reason they hate it is because, after it occurs there will be no doubt in anyone's mind on the entire planet that there is a God and Y'shua is His Son and judgment day is on the way...

Re: Why is the rapture so hated and makes so many angry? Almost like demonic forces want it suppressed. Why hatred?
Rapture haters are demonic for sure. They hate those who believe in the promise because they know we’re getting out of here and they’re staying. They are filled with hatred constantly and rage in anger against anyone who clings to the blessed hope of salvation and being able to escape all the horrors that are coming. It says it right there in Revelation in the letter to philadelphia and also in Thessalonians with the catching up or rapturo, which means rapture in English. They love to lie and claim these verses don’t exist and that rapture isn’t in the Bible when it’s right there in numerous places. Just ignore them and don’t let then steal your joy. They are doing satan’s work by trying to discourage the tired and weary saints and try to get them to doubt the promise. Rebuke the rapture haters in Jesus name and move on brushing the dust off your shoulder.

Easy on the whole "bearing false witness" buddy.

Best of luck to all of you trinitarian sunday keepers. Hope you are all "raptured" before Romes mark of authority exposes your true allegiances. The time of Jacobs trouble will be unbearable for most of you.

Sadly, there is no "rapture" before Christs return, so in mercy God will put most of you (the 2% who are His) to sleep.

The other 98%, one day a week (most of you not even that) "christians", woe to you.
 Quoting: LightShines

I appreciate the input. But you are not dividing scripture properly at all. Every verse has to be kept in context. The article you posted was a person who created their own theology picking verses that they can make say what they want to say. The theology as whole of that article is just a mess, that is my opinion after decades of Bible study.

That said, I wish you well in Christ. I never spew venom or get mad over a discussion. It seems many pre trib opponents do, but I appreciate you being civil and presenting your views.

I have to go with Paul and the early church fathers and a plain sense rightly divided contextual reading of the Bible. If I am wrong I will gladly die for Christ and go to my grave with His name on my lips.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78686118

Have to ask ...

Do you have 3 gods in 1 (father, son and some mystery nameless entity called "the holy spirit") or only 1 God who had a Son begotten from Himself?

You believe (and teach) Gods 4th commandment is null and void in the literal sense and now sunday after Christs resurrection (or even every day) is now the sabbath instead of the 7th day as Exodus 20:8-11 declares?

You partake of christ"mass" and ishtar easter in their season?

Thats it. 3 easy breezy questions to see what footing we are both approaching this. None are trick questions.

What say you? Declare it to the universe.

Re: Why is the rapture so hated and makes so many angry? Almost like demonic forces want it suppressed. Why hatred?
Paul teaches it clearly. Born again believers, those placing their faith in Christ and His shed blood for their salvation, will be snatched away, with the dead in Christ rising first and then the Christian's who are alive and remain in that time will go. All in the blink of an eye, and on the way up they will be given new perfected bodies.

This is in the Bible in literal, not figurative, language. It was translated rapturo, which is where the word rapture comes from.

I happen to believe it will happen before the Tribulation, which the Bible describes as a seven year period of God's wrath and judgment. Because Paul says the restrainer will be removed before the man of lawlessness can appear. I believe that the only thing possibly restraining evil at all on this earth is the Holy Spirit in believers, and the Body of Christ on earth will be removed. True believers saved by Jesus and His blood. The age of Grace will end. The Bible says that the Body of Christ is not meant for God's wrath, which makes sense.

And the Body of Christ isn't given instructions on how to survive the Trib but told it will be saved from that time of Tribulation. The Body of Christ can't be punished for our sins because we have exchanged our life for Christ and been forgiven.

But ok, if a person wants to believe that the rapture is in the middle, or at the end, I am not going to hate you are get mad. If you love Jesus Christ and are saved, hey, you are my sibling.

I prepare somewhat for emergencies, but the Trib isn't like a short time of evil. The world government is formed, anyone who converts to Christ in that time will be hunted down and killed if they refuse the mark if the Beast. And there will be horrendous death and manor calamities. I am not sure if many preppers really understand what it is. Some will survive it, but not many.

But regardless, it is doctrinally sound and is plainly in the Bible. Iraenus and Polycarp taught pre trib rapture.

So why the immense hatred? It really does fulfill the prophecy of mockers and scoffers saying, where is His coming? Things go on as they always have. Pretty interesting.

The important thing is, if you aren't saved, admit you are a sinner and accept Jesus Christ gift, He died on the cross and shed His blood and paid the price. He did it all. Place your faith in Him and be saved.

Pure bullshit.

Demonic forces are RESPONSIBLE for the "Rapture" bullshit.

You will still be here until the Second Coming.

The problem is, you will not be prepared mentally, physically, and spiritually for what you are going to have to endure between now and then, so you will take the mark, and you will curse God.

Re: Why is the rapture so hated and makes so many angry? Almost like demonic forces want it suppressed. Why hatred?
Thread: Hatred of The Rapture is not From True Christians but Toward True Christians

In my opinion,

in my growing experience from a great many repeated observations here and elsewhere,

those that hate The Rapture

and so quickly and so thoroughly condemn all those that believe in the Rapture,

are not True believers in Jesus Christ looking for the promise of His coming

but, quite the contrary,

their peculiarly venomous hostility and attack against the Rapture and those that believe it

are evidence of its Truthfulness.

Rapture-haters are supposedly believers in Jesus Christ

that revile and condemn other believers in Jesus Christ

because those believers in Jesus Christ

believe and hope they will see Jesus Christ just a few years earlier

than what the Rapture-haters supposedly believe

and therefore condemn them as the worst of all evil...
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21742615

So if you believe you will meet Jesus when the Rapture-hater believes he will see Jesus

you are good and true like the Rapture-hater,

but if you believe you will meet Jesus just a little bit earlier

then you are the most despicable rotten evil satanic filth imaginable and worth every condemnation and personal insult.

Now how could that possibly be? It simply is not true.

Those that believe the Rapture is true do not condemn those that do not believe that the Rapture is true.

Those that do not believe that the Rapture is true ALWAYS condemn and insult those that do believe that the Rapture s true.

Rapture-haters are not motivated by, never demonstrate, and never claim any love of Jesus Christ.

The show nothing but contempt for those that do.

Draw your own conclusion.

We are not saved from tribulation but from the Wrath of God.

I believe in a rapture. I hope for a pre-tribulation (the Great Tribulation) but I prepare for mid or post tribulation. Too many places in the Bible it tells us to prepare and each time it is for 7 years of famine. Even Noah prepared before entering the ark.

There will be a great persecution of Christians, greater than ever before. Can't have this if the Christians are all raptured.

Just my thoughts on the topic

Also, any one calling another Christian evil and of satan just because they believe differently than they do, isn't one with Jesus Christ and needs to look in their heart.

Thread: Why Do Those That Do Not Believe In The Pre-Trib Rapture ALWAYS CONDEMN Those That Do Believe In The Pre-Trib Rapture?

What is it that they SO HATE about the widely-held idea of the Pre-Tribulation Rapture?

Why do so very many supposed believers in Jesus Christ absolutely condemn those believers in Jesus Christ that happen to believe differently from them concerning the Rapture?

This consistent response has puzzled me more than anything else regarding all discussions concerning the Rapture.

What is so bad?

Please explain.

Re: Why is the rapture so hated and makes so many angry? Almost like demonic forces want it suppressed. Why hatred?
I've always wondered why there is such hatred as well towards the pre-tribulation rapture. I've always figured that whenever there is truth the enemy hates it and rallies against it. You never see the same hatred from pre-tribbers towards other positions which tells me I'm on the right path.

I think the pre-trib rapture is blatantly correct, as its so obviously clear. I think there are scales over their eyes from the enemy to rob them of the 'blessed hope'. Not sure how people who believe in a mid or post trib rapture think having christians wiped out along with the vast majority of the worlds population is somehow a "blessed hope", and to "take comfort in it"?? Seriously?

The whole purpose of the tribulation is to bring back Israel and J-ws to God, and to punish the wicked, and allow Satans time. As we've already been redeemed we won't take part in their punishment.

The marriage supper of the Lamb to the church takes place straight after the the rapture. If its post tribulation, that would be like God beating his wife and then marrying her! There's so many reasons you can list that make the post and mid-trib positions impossible.

It is a reasonable interpretation of scripture.

It is speculation on the events of the end times,

events that none of us know precisely.

Of all things concerning the subject,

I am most intrigued by the outright hostility of some against it.

Those of you who are hostile to and post against any notion of a Pre-Tribulation Rapture,

What are we really talking about- a difference of 3 1/2 or 7 years?

Why is someone who believes they might meet Christ a few years earlier than what you believe a stupid, wicked, deceived, evil, false Christian?

I've seen you call them all those things.

Why? Why and what is so, so very bad?

Can anyone tell me that?

Great Question!!!! My take on those who dismiss the very true and accurate pretrib rapture event:

- they’re not ready.....very attached to the world and worldly things
- think that they have to suffer for some reason...as if most haven’t already suffered enough
- think that they will earn a better place/more prestige/ in heaven by suffering through the trib
- think that “prepping” is somehow going to turn them into rambo and give them the ability to make it through all of the events to prove they were somehow “worthy”.

Hope that clarifies it a bit

2 Peter 3:16
“As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.”

That’s why, the christian religion has warped so many minds since Darby introduced the dispensation doctrine and foolish pre tribulation rapture. Paul never said what the church is saying but has twisted his word and many will fall because of it. They isolate a few verses then give out their own understanding, same with the law not being valid anymore, all lies. Leave the Babylonian system now!

I think it is because rapture is not in the Bible, and only a hundred or so years old. Rapture stops people from living their lives. And a lot of rapture preachers etc. get wealthy of preaching ... rapture any minute now ! so there is nothing wrong being a pre trib rapture believer, but it is so wrong on so many levels and used for many getting wealthy at the expense of those who are listening to them.

Rapture theology finds its origin in the 1830’s, when an English Protestant minister named John Nelson Darby began teaching this new idea to his followers. Although he studied Law at Westminster School and Trinity College ‐ Darby chose to enter the diaconate of the Church of Ireland instead of practicing law. He was later ordained as a priest in that church.

Over the next several years, his theology developed and changed to the point where he rejected the very idea of a clergy ‐ claiming that it limited the Holy Spirit from speaking through any and all members of the Church. He eventually broke away from the Church of Ireland, found some like‐minded believers and formed The Plymouth Brethren ‐ a conservative, low church, nonconformist, evangelical Christian movement. It was around this time that he began to formulate and preach a new doctrine: “The Rapture”.

There was no Scriptural basis for Darby’s “Rapture” Theology. Neither was there a basis for it in Tradition since it had never been a teaching of the historic Christian Church. Since then, Darby’s novel invention has been picked up by many newer Protestant groups, that is, groups which have sprouted up over the last 100 years or so. It has also become the topic of many books and films, such as the “Left Behind” series.

The Bible is clear that the Second Coming of Jesus will be preceded by a period of persecution (Matt. 24:20‐31; Mark 13:19‐27; 2 Thess. 2:1‐4) commonly referred to as the “Tribulation”. However, there is no mention of Jesus coming a second time to rescue his believers only to return a third time. When we read 1 Thess. 4:17 in context with the other Scripture verses that mention the Tribulation and the Second Coming, it is clear that is speaking about what is going to happen when the Lord returns at the end of time – not before.
It is interesting to note that none of the Protestant Reformers taught about this supposed event.

Before the 1800’s, every Protestant denomination agreed with the Catholic Church that this event of being “caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air” would occur simultaneously with the Second Coming of Christ. Like many other aberrant pseudo‐Christian teachings, belief in the Rapture has become widespread among Evangelical and Fundamentalist groups.
The idea that God’s people will be rescued on earth from earthly persecutions is completely anti‐Biblical. At no time in human history did God ever pull His people out of worldly danger. The early Christians suffered horribly at the hands of their persecutors. They were crucified, fed alive to wild animals, beheaded and set on fire for following Christ. The idea the Christians in the future will be spared persecution is wishful thinking – especially when Jesus called it a blessing (Matt. 5:10).

On the contrary – the Scriptures are full of admonitions that we will indeed suffer for Christ (Matt. 10:38, 16:24, Mark 8:34, John 12:24, Rom. 8:17, 2 Cor. 1:5‐7, Eph. 3:13, Phil. 1:29, 2 Tim. 1:8, 1 Peter 2:19‐21, 4:1‐2).
Jesus told His disciples that they would be hated by the world because it hated Him first. He stressed the fact that those who wished to be His disciples must pick up their cross DAILY and follow Him (Matt. 10:38; Matt. 16:24; Mark 8:34; Luke 9:23; Luke 14:27). Christ promised His followers everlasting joy in Heaven – but not here on earth.

Thank you! It’s such a big deception...the problem is that the followers of dispensation will not even look at anything else proposed, instead they rather call you names...how sad!

Re: Why is the rapture so hated and makes so many angry? Almost like demonic forces want it suppressed. Why hatred?
Also, any one calling another Christian evil and of satan just because they believe differently than they do, isn't one with Jesus Christ and needs to look in their heart.

The greatest is LOVE.

Scripture is filled with Gods people and even Gods own Son calling satans children evil/wicked.

Even when they claim to be Gods people. The group claiming to be "chosen" yet they slaughtered Gods Son (and His disciples) ring a bell?

Stephen and others losing their life ring any sort of bell?

"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness"
