Anonymous Coward User ID: 79486760 United States 09/14/2021 06:49 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Kinda feel like I am in the same boat....been interviewing for months....I am totally qualified but ironically the "other candidate " was just a bit more qualified... When asked how they were qualified I have never received a straight answer... About to say f@#k it...change the resume and just land an entry level position again and stop paying all but my car, internet, cell and house note... Hell, if I make close to nothing I give my kid an actual chance of getting grants and $$ to go to college... |

They weren't going to hire me anyway -why not have a little fun? (lol). Someone needs to write a book about this - it really is getting out of hand. ruser |

Do you know how many interviews Ive been to where they give a mock scenario on how "would you fix this"? After the first couple I realized they had no intent. Now I flat out tell them they need to pay for my consult time. The looks they give, yea, they know what they are doing. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80872825 Really have the feeling its coming down to they post BS openings for legal reasons, yet already know WHO they want.... Or perhaps over qualified and don't want to pay, but let ME make that decision!!! I keep saying this. It's the real conspiracy. |

Quoting: 3O Godlike I was told that these companies pay premiums for posting X amount of jobs per month via the online job network they are using. If they dont post something they lose the money and other things stipulated by the contracts. So yea, I think most postings are BS... |

There is no manager shortage. Quoting: Factual Error Companies already have a manager for each and every worker. They hire managers just to get their buddies in by making up positions which need to be "managed". Meanwhile, they are never able to afford to bring in workers who actually DO REAL WORK. Every time a regular worker quits, they solve the problem by passing more work on to others who remain, and then that requires them to hire another manager. Companies are a total joke nowadays. |

Its easier to just become homeless and live out in the woods then it is to be an employee at most companies today. Just the way business is done. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80518709 Not illegal, it is however, unethical, immoral and unprofessional. The job has to be posted. HR forces mgt to interview at least top 3 applicants. The preselected candidate still has to interview and pass. HR is sitting in and they don’t know the fix is in so HR has a vote. I’m a hiring mgr, word of mouth is best way to hire. Applicant gets 10 points added to his cutting score for each recommendation from an employee. His resume has to pass a computer graded skills/experience/education algorithm so we’re not hiring unqualified people. If you do well in the interview your name absolutely is kept on file as a recruitable applicant. |

Shit, with food exploding in price, people will always need cheap produce. Cut the middle man out and do local, eliminating most transportation costs or drop ship directly. |
