I’ve taken care of a few aged/elderly thalidomide babies in my career. Haven’t seen one in a while but boy is it disturbing to be born with no arms and legs or just tiny baby growths for arms. A lesser known thing I’ve seen is that the thalidomide babies, who are basically at the end of their lifespans or almost dead by now, were able to reproduce and have normal-seeming babies but then those babies grew up to be completely infertile. Kinda weird. So this kind of stuff takes time to learn about.
