Only a very small percentage are going in for their boosters. Maybe a quarter of those that got the first shot will actually show up for the third.

But the tide is now going out. Period. The numbers of hospitalized and dying are dropping. The wave has crashed. And herd immunity among the unvaxed has been reached.

So right now they are milking this last spike for all its worth. But by the end of October, or in the first couple weeks of Nov., this news cycle will wrap up and they'll move on to other things.

You can still get the vax and boosters after that. Right after the Pfizer ad for Viagra will be the ad for its vax. But COVID will be history before December. Mostly history. It will be a background, second-tier story; and will never regain its former status.
