How can the NBA players "opt out"? Doesn't the mandate apply to all companies with 100 or more people? How do they legally get out of the mandate while the rest of us must comply?

Same reason we are all exempt. It’s unconstitutional (and they know it). The fuckheads are simply hoping that this will scare more people into taking the killer vax, because that’s how they roll. And they need as many as possible to die off before everyone finally wakes up and decides to end them.
