you people should have been forming some sort of intentional communities years ago. Google the term "intentional community". They come in several different forms, the common feature is people coming together to help each other, usually involving food production and shelter obviously. Some prefer only young people, others much more open to the elderly, some are religious/conservative, others more akin to the 60's hippie movement.
