UFO Sighting Waterford NY area Friday Night

wait a minute......thats the night i had the freakish dream and sleep paralysis of flying....

im 5 miles from there.

strangeness been happening in my life too....


the most strange is this overall feeling that ive already lived the same or similar events that have happened in the past 6 months or so.


it kind of started around christmas...we drove up to my aunts house and i felt like there was no way it had been 12 months since the last time we did this.

then a lot of things like the place we moved in to i definitely had some eerie feeling like this had alreayd happened...

and then the other night at a department store it happened again....felt ok in the store, then strange and started lookin all around. was eyein this cute girl with her friends at the checkout aisle...child with down syndrome or something like that was crying or shouting....SAME THING HAPPENED BEFORE..

Well, I am disheartened that no one saw this. He insists it was something very out of the ordinary and when I showed him the pics from Texas two weeks ago, he said it looked exactly like that bright light, moving VERY SLOWLY...NO NOISE...only at max 500 feet off the ground. He doesn't do drugs and was on the way home from work, so no alcohol either... AND he was not a believer in UFOs at all up to that point.

Someone should call Mayor McDonald in Cohoes or Mayor Mahoney in Waterford and ask them WTF....someone should have photos of this !!!!!!!

We would like to speak to this witness if possible and any others who may have seen this...

I'll ask him if he'd want to be interviewed. He is very adament about this - seeing it.

I'll call Mahoney and the Waterford cops. Don't know which cops were witnesses, Cohoes, or Waterford.

I have contacted the Waterford PD, nothing reported on Friday eve...and the Cohoes Police are not talking either...

We have had numerous sightings in this area as of late...especially over the Albany area..if this witness wants to tell us what he saw, we will speak to him..

How many police vehicles were there at the sighting ??

Won't be able to reach him until tonight. and he works from 12-9 though he has lots of overtime, so it may be later. Don't know the number of police cars and don't know why he did not stop other than for traffic lights, except he wanted to get home (2 hours late going home from work....for TWC... so he was probably really cold.

Troy police accused of attack

MENANDS -- Troy city police officers beat two suspects with batons as the men lay face down on the ground late Friday, while as many as six other cops watched, according to a family who witnessed the incident.
When the family ran outside and yelled at the officers to stop, police allegedly taunted them.

The witnesses included Libby Post, the president of a local marketing and public relations firm who frequently is quoted in local media and has written opinion pieces for the Times Union and other media outlets.

Troy police spokesman Capt. John Cooney confirmed that an arrest was made in Menands, and that force was used on two suspects.

"All use of force was properly documented," Cooney said. He said that paramedics were at the Troy Police Station to treat the suspects' injuries, which Cooney described as minor.

"The Troy Police Department will fully investigate any complaint of excessive force, whether it is brought to us by witnesses or by parties to that force."

Cooney said at the time of the arrest, police believed one of the suspects may have had a handgun.

The incident occurred near Post's home on Wood Lane, a private road in Menands.

According to Post, her son, Alex Vaughn, and several other people who were gathered for a family dinner, heard a commotion around 9:35 p.m. A red sport utility vehicle and a sedan came to a stop about 100 feet from their home, followed by approximately six Troy police cars, whose sirens were wailing and lights were flashing.

Two men -- both black -- emerged from the vehicles and police ordered them on the ground.

Then two officers -- both white -- began beating the men with batons, one officer on each man. One man, wearing a yellow jacket, was beaten for about 25 seconds. Another man, in a blue jacket, was beaten for about 20 seconds and struck 8 to 10 times, the witnesses said.

"They were waling on them. They were beating them so hard we could hear it inside our house. These men were screaming," Post said.

She said the beating took place after the men were surrounded and on the ground, apparently no longer a threat.

When she yelled at the officers to stop, she said, one of the officers said, "These were probably members of the jury that let that killer go free" -- an apparent reference to the trial of Edward Jidoun, a leader of a Troy biker gang who was acquitted of murder charges Wednesday.

Post said she and her family were told by the officers that the suspects "would kill us" if the police hadn't intervened. One officer said Post "probably wants to invite (the suspects) over to her house for Sunday brunch."

Cooney said the chase began in Troy near Hoosick and Tenth streets when police spotted Marquese Hill, 24, of 3206 Sixth Ave., Troy, who was wanted on a parole violation. Hill left the scene with another man, Jamel DeWitt, 22, of 90 King Street, Troy, and police followed and called for backup units.

The men fled when police tried to pull them over on Route 378, and then turned down Wood Lane into Menands, where they got out of the vehicle.

Hill was charged with a parole violation, resisting arrest and unlawful possession of marijuana. DeWitt was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and resisting arrest. The men were still being booked at press time.

Menands is NOWHERE near where this report took place..

Why were the cars stopped? Did the UFO disable the cars temporarily? Or did the drivers just pull-over to gawk at the UFO?

What does this report from Menands have to do with this...Menands is a solid 10-15 miles away !!!

First off, he sighted the ufo first around the Tibbits Avenue exit of 787 which is by Green Island approximately 4 miles north of Menands and rt 378. Second it was NORTH of that location, Menands is south. It was north then went west over the Mohawk, the people on the bridge stopped were looking at it, this was not a traffic stop, although it may be that the cop (Cohoes cop) stopped to tell the people to get back in their cars and go because there really is no parking on the bridge although it is 3 lanes.

that night i also noticed a lenticular cloud to the north (in the reported area)...i dont usually notice those but i have seen videos and felt partciulary aware that day.

I saw a bright light, moving very slowly at 9.50pm outside the town of
hudson, NY. I was coming back from a gasstation with my friends son
(Who also saw the object) when we saw a bright light above the tree
line. It was moving along so slow that at first i didn't realize it
was moving at all. I stopped the car and opened the window as we
thought it must be a helicopter. But we couldn't hear any engine
sound, and we realized that any kind of aircraft would be blinded by
the brightness of the light.
The object moved slowly over our heads further upstate towards the
albany region.

Im only writing this since i just can not place what i saw. I dont
know what to believe in this case.
I googled jan 18th, ufo sighting, and ended up at a forum at
godlikeproductions.com. there i read that someone else saw what
appeared to have been the same object within the same region. another

OMG I think I saw what your friend saw. That night I had stole my friend away to go on a ride, we were driving on back roads and spotted these two lights that were flying next to each other in the sky. So, we drove after them to see what they were and caught up to them. From far away they look white, but the closer we got they changed until they seemed dim and red.
Until finally we saw this thing hovering over this person's house. It was straight out of star trek, and it was just in the sky, a fixed point, over someone's house! (like not even ten feet, barely clearing a tree!) I stopped the jeep, and she and I just looked at it. Then it started to descend downward and I couldn't handle watching what was going to happen next got the hell out of there!
As we drove off, something bigger, flew over us at wierd angle. We drove away, and then drove back towards where the objects were. We ended up cris-crossing paths a couple of times. It got to the point to where we could predict what it was going to do next. There is a park on Riverview Rd just before Vischer Ferry, we stopped there because it ended up hovering over the Mohawk River. At the park there is a bridge, we got out of the jeep and watched it on that bridge. The thing was flying slow, and almost like it was drunk. It kind of looked like it was doing sweeps scanning everything. It got closer and closer, we were hoping to catch it on a camera if we could get a good shot... It ended up going at this wonky angle over the trees and under the tree line, so we started to run back to the jeep to chase after it, and then it came back up and flew over us!
My friend tried to catch a picture with her phone, but it wouldn't show up at all. It was so wierd! from afar you could see bright lights, but up close it was dark and reddish. The colors changed according to distance too, the further away the lights were white, as it got closer yellow, until finally you saw what it was.

The ship from what we could gather, actually was once, but could dis-connect into two. The big part, which we saw bits off, and the smaller part which looked like a black/red illuminated rounded pyramid flying around on its side (similiar to a garlic clove.) thats the part we saw hovering over that person's house. The bigger part, was elongated, maybe had two sets of wings? small, it didn't look like it should be able to fly, neither part did really. It was freaking scary and exhilerating to see!
Oh, and it made sound up close, it sounded like a bad recording of an airplane played with low volume.

I've never seen anything like it, and have been trying to find pictures of anything similar and have not been able to find a thing.

Really? I can believe that your kids of scared to go back. Since that sighting I saw with my friend I drive through there on my way home if I can make it part of my way to see if I will see anything else. It's amazing how often I do ended up seeing something.
Seeing that thing hover over that house had to be one of the most scariest things I have ever seen in my life! Part of me wanted to knock on their door and let them know that this thing was descending to their house but I was just too scared. I really wish I stayed to see what happened next, did something, but I have no idea what I could have done.
Thank you for sharing about that area, I've been chasing things around there for awhile, and felt that people who have been living there had to have at least seen something at some point.
It's ironic war of the worlds was filmed there. :)

ok, I went back to riverview tonight and WOW. I was driving towards vischer ferry from balltown road on riverview and saw white lights and flashing red lights moving very quickly along the horizon, it looked like a vehicle going down the northway, except I was no where near the northway yet.
I go along, go through vischer ferry, get to that damn park and there is these lights hovering over the road perpendicular to me, I believe its also riverview, the lights were clustered together, anyway so I go up the road, and its a bit of a hill, there are woods to the left of it, and in the woods there was this thing descending through the trees. It had white lights, and red lights, and four things that looked like it was propelling it.
I did not roll my window down, I was petrified.

I stopped the car and try to take a picture with my cell phone. It would not show up at all. I messed with the lighting settings and then the thing in the air started turning and moving in my direction, so I got out of there as fast as I could.

Since digital isn't picking these things up I am thinking of going with film. I don't know if there is a difference in spectrum but I can't really afford to get anything fancy.

I drove off to a main road, and as I was driving the sky lit up turquoise. I ended up buying myself a coffee and making myself go back to that spot but it was long gone. There was a rumbling noise I could hear from outside but that was it.

I don't understand what is going on with that area but I am going to keep trying to get a picture.
