When to evacuate the East Coast due to potential Mega-Tsunami?
What info or warning would make you get in your car and go? How do we know when to leave & which sources to trust in order to make the decision. What's your plan?

Only need to worry if the earthquakes start getting larger and the lava increases.

Right now it's venting off build up, so time will tell.

All seriousness. Check GLP often.

When and if it slides off into the Ocean, GLP will be the first to know.

Hours in advance from MSM.

We'd have 7 hours warning if the nuze media was following this and keeping people informed.

But they're not.

So 100 million people won't have any kind of warning at all.

Ive given this a lot of thought. My sister lives near the coast in CT. Ive told her about this and to keep her gas tanks full. I even sent her a route to follow, north instead of west toward the Hudson.

I live in a community of 10000 and last year when the wildfires came people that evacuated took 10 hours to get 30 miles. If you don't leave before everyone tries to leave you'll be sitting in a parking lot on the roads.

I remember they ran a computer projection for evacuating NYC before superstorm Sandy.....it said 4 days if every bus, car, and train was used.....oh and NO accidents or vehicle break downs/crashes.....LOL....NYC can't get thru a normal rush hour without accidents/delays.....now immagine everyone fleeing for their lives.....

Ain't happening.....

Better buy a bunch of inflatable rafts and strap em together then try and catch the wave when it comes in. Summer is ending so you can probably get them at a discount now.

Right - and I'm in So Florida - 8 miles inland and 10 feet above sea level, so yeah, every minute would count. It's about a 6 hour drive to reach the state line. It would be like a scene in a disaster film, trying to outrun the big wave!

Geez, 6 hours?

Need to find highest elevation in your state. There are multiple sources that can find that, google maps is great.

Depending on how big the wave is, that is your best chance if you are that far from the state line.

Either that, or fight your way through the crowd evacuating and get as far inland as possible.

Like I said, if you keep checking GLP, your odds of survival is better than most, as you will get way more warning than MSM.

Do you have a bike as well?

If you are 6 hours away, you can get 6 hour head start. Then everyone will be panicking and by that point you should be able to get past the state line and to safety soon after.

That is, if you check GLP often.

Not to get you upset or anything...but a resident geologist
on the BIG LA PALMA THREAD (600,000 and counting upward)
reports that there is only 6 KM (3.7 miles) to go until
LAVA STREAM HITS THE OCEAN. (It's late.)

Here is the big volcano thread if you are too lazy to
scroll down to it! lol! Around Page 350 or so.
Thread: Cumbre Vieja volcano post eruption phase! Time to say goodbye for volcano-thank you for all support :)

He says at that point there will be a massive explosion.
He also adds that this may be a trigger for the landslide
...so it all may come down tonight when the Lava stream
hits to water and turns to steam and gas. (It is TOO SOON
TO TELL THOUGH.)

I can't verify this theory as accurate or not
...but
Chief Farty seems to know his stuff. Check the last pages
of the Volcano thread--around page 350 and look be looking
for for the chief Avatar picture. That's were he talks
about the SO2 gas. Sounds really bad.
