My Rescue Cat Is About To Die, Prayers Welcomed

I had a small birdhouse that a momma wren
laid her eggs in.
They hatched and two babies stayed around.
I went to get the mail out at the road and
when I came back and got to the front door,
I almost stepped on them.
They both sat there at my feet hopping around
singing their little hearts out.
I didn't know if they could fly or not,
so I picked them up and sat them on a manger
we have just outside the front bay window.
The cats got in the windows to see what was
going on, and the little birds sat there
singing to the cats all afternoon.
The cats seemed to love it, and they weren't
in attack mode either.
Those little birds sang to us every day.

Then they were gone.

Don't know what became of them, but God does.

From the moment they were born,
they DID HIS WILL.

The Bible says when they left this world
their departure DID NOT ESCAPE GOD'S notice.

GOD IS LOVE.

They are with Him and will be FOREVER.

i rescued her from my ex-wife, pets always ended up either released to never be seen again or seriously kept in the freezer after not being taken care of



i'm faced with the hard decision, she is not suffering when she isn't moving lol which you have to understand with this cat is never since being a kitten

she's basically a throw pillow, so how to decipher if i should actually euthanize? body count

so there's a scale online to estimate he body count, it's less than 1 in Daisy's case, poor girl feels fine when at rest but doesn't want to get up to drink or eat

so believe me i have pet insurance so hospital stays, ultrasounds, probably cancer in intestines and liver spot, intestinal lymphoma but no way to know for sure, too old to put under anesthesia

doesn't come try to get pets anymore or sit on me

quality of life is nope

she's done, sneaking off to find places to die, she finally settled on the downstairs bathroom

so i moved her favorite padded mat from the kitchen to the bathroom and put her on it

tomorrow the mobile vet comes to evaluate and euthanize

it's a mixed bag, she was my best cat ever, she saw me through the hardest times of my life, she was lazy and a total stoner, independent and knew what she liked

better than most people i meet

Why not take her to the er vet or even your vet. They can xray her and see if possibly it has to do with her heart. My one dog started similar symptoms, they took an xray, said he had an enlarged heart and a heart murmur. He was put on enalapril and a more expensive, but wonder drug..vetmedin. It was like he was a new dog with a day or two.

If I were God, I would consider all the creatures I made, especially the ones I created to show love towards mankind. I am not God, but I know that God is love and His love and mercy is infinitely greater than mine. If I, a mere human, have enough love to want my pets with me in eternity, I can safely speculate that He wants at least that.

before she went, i played the piano for her, and she stumbled over and sat next to the piano to listen with her radar ears

she went outside once and did a lap in the yard, almost like she was saying goodbye to her yard

she slept with me in the bed for the last week, unusual for her, she had to lay right up against me

i think she knew way before we did

The uplifting part is she stays in co contact from the other side. She's not here to cuddle, but we still communicate
