But, I think that sometimes you do things should not have a lawsuit tagged to it. This is one of those times. I bet the divers all had to sign a waiver before they got into the cage. How in the world could the dive operator be held liable for an act of nature? Certainly they told the divers upfront that they could have a close encounter with a shark.

Almost feel as bad for the poor guy--who is obviously
a good friend of the person in the diving cage--who
is ALSO being traumatized by what happened.

Those must have been some VERY tense moments!!

Sharks go strange around metal objects - the reason shark suits are made from light weight chain mail.

Also rubber wet suits are good for holding internal organs in should a diver get bitten.

The shark senses would have been overwhelmed by the aluminium cage, the main reason the diver wasn't harmed, but I bet he learned a lesson.
