I live in a small mountain town and we have a drive-through burger joint that has always had a very nice menu, chicken, chili, fish& chips, and such. The owner told me today she only has burgers and fries! I want my fried mushrooms and green chili!

I just started working in a diner a week or two ago, and we've been out of onion rings the whole time I've been there... The local butcher is complaining about the shipping prices getting much higher. I'm seeing these new cars on the road with muddy paint jobs that look like a bunch of colors blended together... Things are looking like they're held together with duct tape and bubble gum now, and it's about to fall apart.

We will have to trap and kill pretzels ourselves.

Believe it or not, people have the freedom to decide under what conditions they want to work, and for how much compensation. They probably can't keep employees due to pay and conditions, which has crippled their supply keeping at that location.

I went through a Hardees just to get sodas. When I got to the speaker, the clerk said that the cook didn't show up for work and that there are only a few things she can sell, but nothing from the grill.

She was alone in there. Unreal. But got the sodas.
