What do you feel more freedom to post with no ACs & no pins?

I am only a blue name when forced. And pins means nothing to me. I do what I want.

I feel AC's contribution makes up more than half the site. I don't like when they're closed off. Something relevant might come from an AC, that a member missed or didn't know. Just have to sort through the BS to find the gems. Trolls never change minds, so they're contributions are in vain. Most of their stuff falls on deaf ears. Not worried about those people, only lost opportunity of information.

An entire page of pins suck at times. Would be nice if the best of the best filtered up only. Everything else cycles.

Either the forum has changed (and it has) OR I have changed (not enough but I try) OR, obviously, both…

I come here for breaking news (at which GLP is the best bar none) AND what I call alternative interpretations of historical and current events.

But lately (since June as far as I have noticed) GLP seems less compelling… Don’t know any other way to put it.

Yes I am addicted to GLP in that I keep coming back even several times a day hoping to see something more interesting

And yes I have posted my share of nonsense and snarky or what I thought were clever or humorous replies… but again it seems increasingly trivial and less serious (I know a ridiculous word) or, as I wrote, compelling.

Perhaps it is a product or our time where it is less about access to information than about filtering out and screening the noise from the signal. That’s it, one of us, GLP or me, appears to have lost the signal…

But I will keep monitoring it - I am grateful to have found this forum. Here are my longevity credentials (though as an unprovable AC for a decade plus):

I'm similar to you. Cause I work from home I can check here several times a day, and like you I am primarily doing it to keep my finger on the pulse. It can feel like sometimes I just want the dopamine of new information rather than something actually interesting. AC's provide quantity but not necessarily quality. The global situation isn't so busy as to need updates every hour. Generally once a day on here should keep you abreast of you what is happening. Anything else is just being bored. I know this because it is how I feel.

No ACs is awesome. Most of em have a bad attitude.

No pins is solved by using personal pin option.

yes it ruins the site everytime Trinn does this...AC'sbring a lot of breaking news to the site.

I agree . ACs contribute a lot . It’s not going to stop trolls they will just get free emails all day long and change user names once banned enough . It won’t matter . Besides Freedom if speech no matter what Except for instigating violence .
