Well, I talked with him tonight about proposed limits and, interestingly enough he told me that the limits were going to be placed on the "less profitable" items. Like specialty items.

He told me his store just lifted limits on things like toilet paper, paper towels and water because of their profit margin.

He went on to say, that the stores in the Northern Bay Area are selling out of these items, which drives demand. The trucks bring in what they can, some people suffer but it makes them want to buy more when they can.

Crazy shit!

I asked him about supply and his response was "There's always a truck coming every night".

So, in a nutshell. He basically told me that the limits are profit driven. Not necessarily supply driven.
