The people allowed the smoking bans, and regulations, they allowed doctors to take the final say of medicine use from the citizen by creating federal drug control and the prescription system. The people allowed laws that only effect the health and safety of the individual to take away freedom of choice of the individual by allowing things such as seat belt mandates.
The people have spoken, and they love oppression, they love the removal of freedoms, they love telling someone else how to live with a vote.
