meanuser User ID: 77086501 United States 10/04/2021 11:22 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I got it so bad one summer in California when I had paid 800 for Reggae on the River, a weekend event. We parked our RV and I couldn't go out in the daytime at all I was so miserable. Benadryl and beer and I got Tecnu to get me through it. I was so ticked off. I stupidly thought I had hives at first and put coconut oil all over, spreading it everywhere. It was perhaps the most miserable weekend I ever had. I got some black soap after the weekend that really worked but I can't remember what it was called. They sold it at the health food store. nameruse username nearmuse |

Just run hot water, hotter than you would be able to normally stand on it. It'll overload the itching sensation for hours. "Yes, yes. Zathras is used to being beast of burden to other people's needs. Very sad life. Probably have very sad death. But, at least there is symmetry." |

I get poison ivy chasing errant golf balls. two years ago i used Liquid Skin on a rash just to see if it would relieve the itching. It did but it also cleared up and completely healed the rash within a couple days. Try it, it works great. |

Blend in a blender with water and apply. Works great. Stops the itching in a couple of hrs and stops the spread imediately. Burns slightly when you first apply it. That means its working Last Edited by mondali2 on 10/19/2021 07:13 AM mondali2 |

Zorro A. Knievel Esq. User ID: 76722101 United States 03/05/2022 10:12 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Used to get poison ivy Realllly bad when I was a kid, got put on steroids everytime. Knowing you've been exposed and washing the Urishol (oil) off immediately is the only way to really "beat" it. For that I used to use gas, bleach, or something called "Fels-Naptha" bar soap (a bar soap used for laundry containg naptha)... but you gotta get it immediately, like within 15 minutes before your body reacts... Once your body reacts, it's normal contact dermatitis, just treat it like any other allergic rash, oatmeal baths/soaks seemed to help me the most... I'M NOT A DOCTOR. COVID IS NOT FUCKING REAL, WW3 AIN'T GUNNA HAPPEN. TURN OFF YOUR MOTHERFUCKING TV. [link to youtube.com (secure)] [link to youtube.com (secure)] |

It's in your own urine. Pee in a cup, dab it on using a cotton ball. Simple as that. The fires of suffering become the light of consciousness. E Tolle For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God ... For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, love and self-control. 2 Tim 1:6-7 |

Quoting: DieselTech I'm going to salt the fence line and get rid of it once and for all. I am naturally immune to it. I live and work in the woods and have never had a problem with it, but others with me get it bad. Jewlweed as stated grows nearby and works well and vinegar as suggested. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 82087405 United States 03/05/2022 07:08 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The key to getting rid of poison ivy is to get rid of the oils that the plant leaves behind. Tecnu is a soap that will supposedly wash the oils away. If you work in the yard, get the oils all over yourself, then sit on the couch, now your couch has the invisible oils on it and can re-infect you as well as others. Same thing with the car, hop in your car after working in the yard, take a trip to the store, it's all over your car. These days, any time I think I've come near poison ivy, I immediately wash with tecnu so I don't spread the oils all over the place. You can also use it in your laundry (recommended). |
