PREPARE FOR SOCIAL MEDIA TO DISAPEAR: Apollo Currency Blockchain & Wallet For The Worlds Most Encrypted Messaging
When The plug is pulled on social media, how will you communicate with the besties in your life?

They can keep the internet up and shut down social media at the same time, but in this scenario there would be no concrete way to communicate with others outside of text messaging. But why text message when you can message through an encrypted network that cannot be syphoned for your data?

Just saying. What if you wanted to tell someone a secret, or discuss something you want nobody else to know? Text messages aren't private, so where would you go?

One of the few options that would remain in that scenario would be the apollo blockchain and their encrypted messaging system. It costs 1/4 of a cent to send a message that nobody but you and the recipient would ever be able to read. You can use the apollo wallet/blockchain for data storage and transfer too. No more relying on the cloud. This is just an option. You are not obligated to look it up to see how legit what I'm saying is. I'm just saying this in case someone else finds value in it.

Re: PREPARE FOR SOCIAL MEDIA TO DISAPEAR: Apollo Currency Blockchain & Wallet For The Worlds Most Encrypted Messaging
I wish they would bring back a far more highly encrypted version of the old decentralized peer to peer networks. I thought that was the best model, PCs holding hands to communicate and collaborate.

Blockchain is too confusing to understand, seems to hocus pocus to me.

Right??? The old p2p platforms were the best. Classic internet, everyone had online liberation.

Blockchain is the only way to bring anything like that back. Blockchains are basically computer programs that cannot be penetrated by spying softwares. (At least the advanced blockchains like Apollo can't be)

Blockchain decentralizes data transfer just like old p2p networks, but instead of using a program like kazaa and limewire, you access the computer program (blockchain) and use its interface to transfer your data.

It's pretty similar, but you are 100% correct in saying blockchain is confusing. Took me MONTHS of incessant studying to understand it.

I loved BearShare and Kazaa

I'm going to try and learn more about blockchain when I have time, for communication purposes only. I'm an older guy and the whole digitized currency thing sounds insane to me. I know it can be highly encrypted, but no amount of encryption can thwart a magnetized charge that wipes it all out. After all, everything digitized is nothing but charges of ones and zeroes. Being able to direct a strong magnetized charge at anything digital nowadays is like having a nuke.

You are right. Find solace in the fact Apollos central hub/node is on an island and is protected.

if you go to Apollowallet.org you can easily create a wallet there and from there it's only a few steps to messaging. if you need help with it just let me know and I'll be happy to help guide you through it

Be nice to know who "they" are. No way of knowing if the site is set up to capture or keylog info. Not crazy about the name Apollo (i.e., Apollyon, etc.) either.

The apollo team is very open to the public and their records are all available to peer through. That's one of the aspects of blockchain tech - the blockchain code and the team are all publicized to be critiqued from any and all outside viewers for errors, faults, etc.

here's a link showing the team, which you can look each of these people up further if desired. [link to aplfintech.com (secure)]

I understand your distrust. Just make sure you have a plan ALREADY IN PLACE before social media goes down in any big fasion

You can do this for free with OpenPGP.

You just need to do the research and take the time to implement it, but it's very effective and decentralized with private keys stored only by the individuals. No need for public stores, or centralized key repositories, can host them all yourself.
