Re: What worked for your depression?
Quitting alcohol. This was huge.

Working out regularly. Daily if at all possible.

Improving sleep. Melatonin and Valerian Root.

Cutting out processed foods. Diet more focused on good fats and high protein. Farm eggs, fish, grass fed beef etc.

L-Tyrosine, 5-HTP.

More water intake.

It just went away when Jesus came in.
Going to Confession and being absolved through a sacrament was a big part too.

Confession is a big thing imo. It helps release anxiety which in turn relieves stress.

Re: What worked for your depression?
And to be fair yes, the classical psychedelics absolutely help. But the effects wear off. A good mushroom trip once every 3 months or so definitely is beneficial. Unfortunately we live in a world were beneficial plants and funguses are illegal but experimental concoctions with no ingredients list and forced legal immunity to the manufacturer are not just legal but demanded…

May be another reason why depression is so high.

We aren’t bad just, just all stuck in a bad aquarium…

Re: What worked for your depression?
Small wins.

learn how to feel joy for "ordinary" things

Celebrate every little thing no matter how small it seems.

You just need to program your synapses to feel joy.

Just make your day full of wins.

You washed your hands, it's a win, celebrate it with a big smile.

Act like a winner, talk like a winner, smile like a winner, that will make you feel like a winner and you will become a winner.

If your brain tells you that something is depressive, doesn't matter how big or small it seems, just show who is the boss.

You are the boss, not your brain. It's automation. You are something more.

Every time you fail, just get up and keep walking. Be like a child, bruised and happy.

Losing weight by changing my diet to include a LOT more veggies and fewer processed foods, fasting and exercising. All of which caused my hormones to become balanced thus alleviating my depression.

Coming to terms with self
and realizing I myself am responsible
for my emotional responses to all stimuli
- nobody else -
took me a looong time.

Looking back, hard physical workout actually did help,
regarding the sadness. But that's just me.

What ever silences the inner dialogue,
so that one can tune in to the Real News, I guess.

Three pieces:

1. Start a project, preferably building something where you see the results of your efforts. Beat if it's physically demanding.

2. Stop/slow down how much porn you watch

3. Adrenal support supplements. (B6&B12 are metabolized and eventually produce BH4 rich helps your mental state greatly)

We are ALL (for real) LINKED to HELL (to Infinite Unhappiness)

We are ALL (for real) LINKED to HEAVEN (to Infinite Happiness)

REALISE THAT "THE UNHAPPINESS" IS NOT YOUR FAULT

BE NEITHER HAPPY NOR SAD BUT "NEUTRAL" WHICH LIES IN-BETWEEN BOTH!

(1) FLOATING A 100 MILES HIGH UP INTO THE SKY INTO "WHITE LIGHT" AND "HAPPINESS"

IS ALWAYS BALANCED BY...

(2) DROPPING A 100 MILES DOWN INTO THE GROUND INTO "DARKNESS" AND "UNHAPPINESS"

AFTER EXPERIENCING DARKNESS AND LIGHT YOU WILL MERGE SPIRITUALLY AS ONE WITH ALMIGHTY GOD HIMSELF

YOU WILL ASCEND HOME TO DWELL IN ALMIGHTY GODS "GOLDEN PARADISE KINGDOM OF INFINITE UNCONDITIONAL LOVE & HAPPINESS FOREVER"!

Re: What worked for your depression?
Get the saddest movies available, watch them and have a good cry, as you are crying, have your mind bring up pictures of the sad events in your life, deeply feel the emotional pain, process thru the pain, and release it to the past. Depending on the severity of the emotional trauma you may have to do this process multiple times for one event.

Not for me but people I know beat it with B12, Healthy diet and most importantly regular exercise. Doesn't have to be heavy weights...just go for a good walk 3 or 4 times a week.. best if you get your heart rate up for 20+ minutes. Good luck to you!

Re: What worked for your depression?
Most issues start in the gut, so you have to eat as clean as possible and stay away from suspected allergens and things you are sensitive to. Eat clean for awhile to see if it helps. At least it's not harmful, right? And get plenty of sun, extra sleep, and some exercise.

Stay away from processed foods & especially processed carbs and sugars. Do you crave sweets? If so, I guarantee you are gluten (wheat) sensitive. Eat lots of raw fruits and veggies to get the extra healing enzymes. Have a smoothie with flax or chia seed and maybe some green powder.

Fill in with whatever supplements are necessary for your age, weight, and overall health plus some pre/probiotics.

Re: What worked for your depression?
Sunlight and being outdoors in/near nature, even if it rains! Works every time.
Pushing one self: physical or mental training, etc., for being in the cold or doing something difficult. You'll feel better afterwards when its over, lol.
Have you stopped believing in a higher goal/force etc...? Try to restore/find something you truly believe in and want to fight for.
