Well, we saw the video of that guy insulting that elderly couple on a bus and nobody did anything; it wasn't until he hit the elderly dude that somebody lounged at him.

Then again, this is Philly---was the woman screaming for help? With all the crazy people now doing shock videos, i wonder if people thought it was another one of those things done for making it go viral.

Something similar but not as bad happened to me on the rail car in Dallas a few years ago. I fell asleep and when I woke up, a youth (who looked very similar to this guy) had sat down two seats from me and was jerking off while watching me. I screamed at him to stop but when he saw how upset it made me, he did it more. A dozen other passengers did nothing; they were probably homeless , using the train to sleep in for the night. I called the transit police from the number on the wall, and they arrived about 10 min later, but the youth had stopped off. They asked if I wanted to file a report.
So in parallel with OP's post - I went to sit down again, and a passenger, same persuasion, awake, complained to me that I was holding him up from getting to work on time.
