I’ve been a metal head since the late 80s , I had to get over my short sheep phase listening to rap like fat boys and easy E . Ozzy bark at the moon changed that followed by rat out of the cellar and then off I went into Metallica who had the spot for best band ever until FFDP came on the scene and spoke directly to my heart . I really like some of the female metal bands recently like butcher babies ! I got to see them live ! Hot and smoking metal too !
There are too many awesome musicians in the world of metal now to get into all of them ! I forget two as I recollect one , age and lots of THC to blame for that . Anyhow great conversation starter man ,Rock on ! \\m//

Thrasher here. Started with Metallica , Megadeth and the like back in the mid to late 80s. Just exploded from there. Now the metal and thrash scene is so populated with decent talent, it is hard to keep up with the names of all the bands I have cycling through.

I just wish everyone would put on their big boy pants and stop freaking out about COVID so we can do the whole concert thing again. Every one I have gone to this year has sucked ass for one stupid reason or another.

Yup...51 yrs old here and Slayer and Mercyful fate were my favorite in the early 80's...and still are!

"And Justice For All" got me hooked in '88. I was 9yrs old.

I can't play, but when my little Brother passed he left me his Jackson V. I think its the same one Dave Mustaine used to play.

40-somethinger here. I actually cry when I watch old Pantera concerts on youtube, knowing the youngsters will never know what that kind of energy is like. How did the Pantera generation grow up to be such pussies in adulthood?

Been a metal since 1981 and watched the evolution of the different sub-genres. Black metal is personally my favorite.

Got bad news for you guys...your "metal" is just another manufactured "culture" that came out of the Illuminati "cultural" factory and the great legends of your metal are all people who "sold their souls" (aka they are blackmailed tools).

And, yeah, I'm almost 50. Somehow metal bands can still create great riffs. Like Ghost with their song Cirice.

The Sword rocks, seen them live a few times, they used to tour with another of my favorite bands, Clutch. Sucks though because their last 2 albums kinda sucked and now they broke up.

Three Ozzfests. Disturbed twice. Korn 3 times. Even manson 3 times. Slayer. All That Remains. Slipknot. Up front for Otep and Drowning pool. Autographs from all Black Sabbath and Lincoln Park. Even got to meet Tommy Chong once. 80s rocker forever!
Btw I'm 50 and still have the long hair.

Not a metal head but just popping in to say you guys should watch Trick or Treat 1986 on YouTube. It’s a Halloween movie with a dead rocker as the monster basically. Great soundtrack and even a guest appearance from Ozzy Osborne. Main character is Skippy from Family Ties lol.
