The accomplished liberals are protecting your children from the devil this year. Quoting: PhilSheldon [link to www.foxnews.com (secure)] In a letter reportedly sent to parents and shared by WLNS, officials wrote that the decision was made due to concerns over hurt feelings and uncomfortable families. "Each year, along with the fun of Halloween parties and parades, we also have students whose families do not celebrate or feel comfortable with their children participating in Halloween festivals," it reads. "Valentine's Day is another day in which school parties and the exchange of valentine cards leads to unintended consequences," the Elementary Principal Team said, noting that the exchange of valentines sometimes leads to classroom drama and teasing and that some families and students "do not feel comfortable with the idea of boys and girls exchanging valentines or participating in a celebration that focuses on ‘love.'" You wanted Arab Muslims to be imported into America and this is what you get. Their culture is anti those things. Stop trying to make it look like a "Liberal" thing. |
My Fear User ID: 78998907 United States 10/17/2021 11:55 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | In a way I get it. Halloween disruptive to the school day for nearly a week in preparation. Some kids can't afford fancy customs either. which means making face mask at school for some kids. Planning, cutting drawing is a valuable skill kids do need to learn, otherwise their would be no surgeons or tradesman. I lot of school board members do not get that. All the candy and crap the kids ingest is awful too. At the same time much of it is a moral booster for the kids and breaks up the this time so kids aren't as burned out. And, schools can only do so much to police what kids are allowed to eat in their lunch boxes. However, it is Valentines day is the one that needs to go the most. Nothing is wrong with love, but kids do get their feelings hurt. Card companies only make enough cards for for about one half a class and the parents can't afford to buy pricy student valentine day cards. Teachers are forbidden from spending too much time, material, and effort on letting kids make cards while at school either. Not to mention when feelings are to returned or kids get jealous of what they think is s blossoming love life going on. In upper middle school and Jr high is where the real drama is at. NO! Valentines day is for adult's mostly. And, if kids are going to make cards they should be making and giving it to family, not a whole class. Again, the kids don't need a big hit of candy. Too much sugar is bad for developing brains. |
My Fear User ID: 78998907 United States 10/17/2021 12:20 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yeah. A lot of Christians don’t participate in it anymore. And Valentine’s Day is really for adults. It is sexual in nature. A few cultish Christians and Muslims do not participate in Halloween. It's an Irish Holiday and similar to day other cultural types of festivities like Day of the Dead, Nov. 1st. Originally, the Irish would dress up to celebrate the harvest and try to scare the bad spirits away for the winter months. There would be parties, contest, and telling of ghost stories. A lot of churches in fact have kept the old tradition in place of trick or treating in the neighborhoods. It offers a safer place to be a kid. Valentines days was not considered sexual. It was done to promote love, marriage, among singles and a day to renew love among couples in hope that they would grow their families. Most babies after all are born in October and November. Basically 9 months from February and after Christmas when family have prodded the young singles to get on with it. Valentines day was always a commercial gimmick. It puts pressure on young single being prodded at Christmas time from family questioning when they would find someone special, or start a family. It made married couples consider having kids as well. The thought was put in their mind you are getting old better settle down, so by February a lot of young couples were introduced. The hope was from there, this would lead to a marriage proposal or a shot gun wedding in April , May and June for weddings. Back than the economy was running on news families and babies, in a good and growing economy. In short, Valentines Day was about promoting romance, so more people / consumers could be made for industry. Now many feel their are too many people and too many problems. So of course, This activity should be cut back on especially for children that should not even be thinking about romance, and starting a family. |

Quoting: N3M3S1S F$CKIT They can’t cancel anything. People, live your lives and stop listening to these fucks. People should be homeschooling their kids. Anyone upset about the holiday cancellations should be upset that the schools are not teaching your kids anymore. Just indoctrinating them. Holidays and parties should be the least of your concern. Do those on your own time. |

And Valentine’s Day is really for adults. It is sexual in nature. They used to have Valentine's Day cards for kids, but who knows what they've got for kids nowadays. A lot of the holidays we celebrate are actually pagan in origin, even ones that people consider to be Christian. I don't think schools should stop celebrating the traditional holidays on the grounds that everyone doesn't celebrate them, otherwise they won't be celebrating any holidays. As for the kids who don't celebrate those particular holidays, they can sit them out. That used to be considered character building. |

Somnium User ID: 80857217 United States 10/17/2021 12:35 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Just celebrate those days anyways. Fuck what government says. They can’t stop you from wearing a costume or from sending a valentine card. And if they try, then you RESIST because your rights are being violated. Just record the cops arresting people or detaining people and make it go viral. Especially if they do it to kids. You can’t cancel American rights over hurt feelings. *Somnium* |

The SJW stuff moved from schools to society. We're currently seeing vax mandates move from schools to society. We'll see this holiday policy move from schools to society too. Just give it enough time, and you'll be told you have to remove the holiday decorations from your yard because it's not inclusive. |

She was so wrong! So I LOVE HOLIDAYS, ALL OF THEM! and studies have proven children of all ages improve their performance in all areas after they come back from Christmas break (verbal skills in daycare & pre-k esp.) Experienced myself with pre-k teaching So anyway during my practicum I did a whole month in March about Leprechauns ( St. PATTYS DAY) ! KIDS had never heard of Leprechauns and just loved all the leprechaun & fairy stories I read and all the fun green (color) activities around St. PATTY'S DAY, shamrocks, lucky 4 leaf cloves, etc., well slowly these kids imagination began to wake up and every day there was a new story to be told about a fairy or leprechaun they saw in their cupboards or eating their cookies. The stories were incredible so we made a story book out of all these stories and made up some poems too, limericks! ( the blonde teacher is fuming saying, they are just telling lies, she was bitter). At the end if the year ( and I did V day too!) The principal called me in and showed me how dramatically the kids at improved in every area ( verbal, language, behavior, etc. And offered me a job). I owe that success to celebrating holidays, I turned down the job because I was moving after graduation but I can tell you a little love, imagination and Holidays go a long way improving childhood development. They are just trying to make everyone sad and dumb |
