Today was the first day I didn't see an ambulance on a short trip in my rural area. But someone also passed me and almost caused a head on for the privilege of being the next car in the long line of traffic. Luckily, the oncoming traffic still had the self preservation instinct and braked and swerved to their right. So not exactly a win. |

Used to be I might hear an ambulance once or twice a month. Now I hear an ambulance and EMT fire and rescue practically EVERY day. Multiple times a day. Quoting: WGON Am I the only one who's noticed the uptick in emergency vehicle sirens since the "Vax" was rolled out in force? Are they beginning to drop like flies? I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Yes, big time! Have notices an uptick in the past week for sure. AZ here |

No, you are not the only one. I was just telling someone that same thing within the last week or so. We live outside of town in a small neighborhood and the sirens happen multiple times a day. Of course it could be rednecks overdosing on ivermectin and playing with guns......I live in Oklahoma. 🙄 |

Hey OP, Here is the link to the WASHTENAW COUNTY feeds [link to www.broadcastify.com (secure)] Looks like police/Fire/EMS is all the same dispatch Link: [link to www.broadcastify.com (secure)] If you purchase a subscription to Broadcastify($15 for 6 months), you can download historical radio traffic and listen to it. I download the historical files from my area and use a free software called Audacity to remove all blank space from the files. This greatly speeds up listening (back to back calls) [link to www.audacityteam.org (secure)] How to remove blank audio space [link to manual.audacityteam.org (secure)] Last Edited by Norske_in_Merika on 10/18/2021 05:57 PM |

I work in city’s downtown core and i was just telling a friend 2 weeks ago this exact same thing. Probably 3-4x as much emergency vehicles racing with lights and sirens blaring than before lockdowns. Heck its probably even higher. Mostly ambulances and fire trucks |

Same. We've got a retired officer who owns a store front next to us and we questioned why since he's still quite active with many still on the force. He said it's mostly an uptick in suicides when winter starts to come in. "Happens every year." |

Unfortunately more common, and I live in pretty rural area. A few times a month I hear life flight fly over to a nearby town (I track it on flight radar). Lot of sick people needing emergency care lately! prettystupid |

It’s all relative. I live on a major street leading to the local hospital....it’s actually abnormal if I don’t hear a bunch of sirens. I work at the hospital, and the ebb and flow of ambulances are random to be honest....when it gets hot after cold..a lot of people moving around, falling down, and heat stroking....gets cold, people get sick, and also decide to maybe go to the hospital for problems... Best days are the “middle” of such weather, because people stabilize into their “environment” is the best way I can describe it. Also rains, and First of month/ paycheck cycles play into it. Also we have a ton of elder care facilities here, it’s an “older” town , so yea every morning all the ambulances deliver the bad “morning rounds” to the hospital for advanced care. Always remember these words: Work hard, study well, and eat and sleep plenty! That is the Turtle Hermit way! We must master the art of peace in addition to the art of war! |
