Anyone who has ever used a powerful (>500X) microscope for any length of time can tell you that even in sterile, purified water, there are all sorts of little shapes and particles that remain. They aren’t “parasites”, and they aren’t alive, even if moving; ever heard of Brownian motion?

Nice reply and all and I appreciate a new term to look up, but the last part is unnecessary. Some of us have never looked through a microscope or had any appreciable biology training. So critical thinking in this area is limited for some.
