Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71301744 At approx. 7:20 AM a formation of at least 6 Blackhawks and Apaches flew over, due south towards Houston. In the following hour, two separate formations of at least 2 or more Apaches have flown over about 20-30 minutes apart. Anyone else notice or have word of exercises in region? Last time I remember such flyovers in the area were the days just immediately prior to the earliest days of the lockdown beginning. They're filming a movie. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 13489647 Oh wait Biden is president never mind. Xi Jingping owns America. I doubt there's troops on them but there could easily be worse things. I live in east texas and I've had an Apache hoover right over my yard while moving the Gatling gun to aim at me in order to scare me and shut me up It didn't work. Fucker was so low it blew all the leaves off the trees, I shot him the double eagle new york salute and he flew off. |

His unit was in Conroe which is North Houston. That unit only has Blackhawks now but the unit at Ellington in South Houston still have them. Fort Hood is not far, maybe they were doing some training at Fort Hood and are on their way home. We see them here all the time so I don't thinks it's anything out of the ordinary. Scared Mama Bear |

Once I was fishing on Caddo lake when a B52 from Barksdale dropped something in the lake, probably a bomb. I never actually saw whatever it was but I saw the splash and it was under where the plane would have been. It was flying at about 200 feet and obviously having mechanical problems, flaps deployed and engines straining.. |

Thanks for the info. I don't doubt a reasonable explanation, and I do know Wings Over Houston was a couple weeks ago, as well as some announcements from the Houston Police Department that they'd be training with Blackhawks in the region a few days ago. However, that many, and with more Apaches than Blackhawks, and that early in the AM is unorthodox for this immediate area, at the very least. I have some insider intel of a possible massive oil reserve discovery in the region, supposedly being embargoed from the media after being deemed a national security asset, possibly leading to heightened military activity in the coming years in the area, if true. But that is obviously my imagination running wild with other, seemingly unrelated data points. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1964767 Canada 10/18/2021 11:51 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I was dreaming about fleets of helicopters when I was woken by the phone this morning. There were marines and army separate equipment but same formation. The 1st choppers were OD green and tan Blackhawks. I only noticed cause a grenade fell off one and landed a few feet away. Pin still in, dropped accidentally. The passengers were in over full combat load but not everything was stowed correctly. They were landing in open areas and bivouacing. There were tents and kit inspections going on. I knew I needed to remember this dream even as I was dreaming as it would be important. Maybe you are the connector op. |
