So little is known at this time. Would rather stay in my sweats and sit with GLP for three days with little sleep (like the old days of 911) but family matters call.

Speaking of sleep, I didn't sleep last night. I live in the PNW and was up until the sun dawned. I cried through nearly an entire box of kleenex for no reason. Just emoting FOR HOURS.

I'm a sensitive and should have known something was going on. Now, I know.

We are still waiting for any communication from tonga. It is very flat. The islands of nuku'alofa and ha'apai which are south and north of volcano. We are holding hope for essentially all my husband's relatives. Ha'apai is very low. There is literally no where to go. The airstrip on that island basically stretches the diameter of that island to give you an idea. Very possible it was totally overtaken. My god to even say that. Also the word for tsunami in tongan is peau kula or red wave. I will tell you that tongans are very strong people. It might sound weird, but they are protected by God. They also have one of those portals there called the ha'amonga on the main island. One of those stonehenge things. I fully believe there were giants there. Anyway, if I get any fam intel I'll post it.

Also understand that there are tons of islands in tonga. Many small islands outside of tongatapu (nuku'alofa main city) that are inhabited. There is concern for a small island called atata or ata'ata just north of tongatapu I think between the volcano and TT. Also ha'apai has many smaller inhabited ilnads around. Also other nearby active volcanoes...like Kao. Doesn't spew but smokes. North of ha'apai the next group is vava'u that is higher I think. North of that is niufo'ou and niua toputapu. One of these island had deaths due to the samoan tsunami back whenever. I heard that communication place was able to contact the communication place in tonga to verify that the undersea cable was not damaged. That's about it

Connection with ha'apai related via NZ MP. Connected via university of south pacific satellite connection. No known loss of life on ha'apai. Damage to buildings. Water disruption. There was an early message for people to unhook water cisterns...not all were able to apparently. Guarded good news.

Governor of ha'apai got some footage out. Seems like that island is able to use the univ of south pacific satellite. Unclear when this was uploaded. No sound just video. Again no one actually lives on the island if you can call it that even where the volcano was

Interesting video of TT after it hit. Guy documenting the cars trying to get to higher ground. He basically is saying where is everyone running...I'm staying home. If the tsunami comes it comes where are you going to run. He says he is prepared to die, he is trusting in God. Says his ears popped so like huge pressure fluctuation and you can hear the rocks landing. They are big enough to sting when they hit him.

This is a video I don't think is matamaka island not sure exactly where that is. They are asking for help. They're stuck on their roof. At one point they are looking back and there's apparently water going over the whole island. Still no clear communication coming out

Thanks and you're welcome. There's alot of post on main board about another eruption. I'm not convinced. But I don't think it has stopped erupting per se. Still have no contact other than those few videos. I can't read the other posts.. I'm not looking to argue with people nor do I want any more upset than necessary. I've been around glp since Fukushima time

An important excerpt is that the underwater cable is indeed broken which is a big problem for comm out. Takes a long time to fix that

This morning, Southern Cross Cable executive Craige Sloots told the Herald that "Fintel and TCL [Tonga Cable Ltd] undertook testing yesterday afternoon which seems to confirm a likely cable break around 37km offshore from Tonga".

I believe anything now but I do think this was just volcano doom since this spot has been active. This scientists opinion is that it was equivalent of 1000 hiroshima bombs! At end of article he is talking about some kind of slide like whatever newly formed stuff under the ocean could slide causing another tsunami.sheesh.

Towards the end of this the climate 'experts' are quick to say that there's not going to be any global cooling....well of course not right that would bust the warming narrative. Maybe this is the earth cooling.

Satellite measurements show SO₂ quantities from the latest eruption were 400 kilotons. Robock said the eruption will “produce about 1/50 of the impact of the 1991 Pinatubo eruption,” or about 0.02 degrees (0.01 degree Celsius) average cooling.

[There's a thread popping up about noxious smelling bubbles off coast of med. The antipode if tonga is northern africa...so not too far off. Idk if the snake thing you are talking about us sequential or just a chain reaction. So there was la palma then tonga. They are roughly opposite sides of earth. Anyway in spirit of your thread just thought I would point out these weird bubbles maybe happening in med.

Seismic signal graphs were taken down for Hierro after the above event. A significant rise in frequency across the entire range. Db signal all above ten or max. Very strong steady movement. At present -no signal.
La Palmas tremors are now long period events.
