Assuming this 66% rate holds for the others who have not reported, and which probably applies to the Chicago police force as well (numbering about 12,000 uniformed officers) this means Chicago's leadership is about to risk losing the services of 4 THOUSAND cops. 4 fucking thousand cops. In Chicago. Even if they rescind this Very Bad Idea once they understand the ramifications of it, the blood will have already been shed. This is an utterly shocking level of civic malpractice and will be seen as one the most epic failures of leadership in recent memory, which these days is a real accomplishment.
