ALERT!! Andalusia,Spain holding "Drills" OCT 19,20,21st for Tsunami--Anniversary of 1755 Atlantic 8.4 Earthquake Nov.1st
Cadiz is on the Southern tip of Spain on the Atlantic ocean. Andalucia is the southernmost province of Spain and would be decimated by an event from La Palma.

The article is in Spanish and other articles are available in Spanish. I have translated bits of the article from Spanish and feel free to post more, please!

The quakes started in La Palma on the 11th of Sept. this was announced 3 days prior, for exactly the threat that we are facing now!

we all know how "Drills" go. They are preparing!

The Junta de Andalucía has announced that it is preparing a large regional emergency drill for October in which the response in the event of a catastrophe in the event of earthquakes, tsunamis or floods will be tested.

The exercise, which is unprecedented in the region and which has been called 'Response 21', will take place on October 19, 20 and 21 and will recreate three emergency situations such as a major earthquake in eastern Andalusia ( Almería, Granada and Málaga), a tsunami in the Gulf of Cádiz (Cádiz and Huelva) and serious floods in the provinces of the Guadalquivir Valley (Jaén, Córdoba and Seville),

Never before has such a comprehensive and ambitious exercise been convened in the autonomous community that combines so many scenarios and possible risks."

"This represents an organization and planning challenge in terms of collective security unprecedented in the Andalusian community

The exercise will take place over three days in three different scenarios focused on specific risks, in order to have a global and multisectoral vision that tests the response and service mechanisms for citizens.

Thus, on Tuesday, October 19, a possible seismic movement that will affect eastern Andalusia will be recreated.

One day later, on Wednesday, October 20, the timeliness and effectiveness of the Contingency Plan will be measured against the risk of Tsunami

Finally, on Thursday, October 21, the Plan against Flood Risk in Andalusia will be launched

The Canary Islands belong to Spain, they are well aware of the situation.

There is also this: They know it will happen again at some point.

The 1755 Lisbon earthquake, also known as the Great Lisbon earthquake, impacted Portugal, the Iberian Peninsula, and Northwest Africa on the morning of Saturday, 1 November, Feast of All Saints, at around 09:40 local time.[3] In combination with subsequent fires and a tsunami, the earthquake almost totally destroyed Lisbon and adjoining areas. Seismologists today estimate the Lisbon earthquake had a magnitude of at least 8.4[4] on the moment magnitude scale, with its epicenter in the Atlantic Ocean about 200 km (120 mi) west-southwest of Cape St. Vincent and about 290 km (180 mi) southwest of Lisbon. Chronologically it was the third known large scale earthquake to hit the city (there had been one in 1321 and another in 1531). Estimates place the death toll in Lisbon alone at between 30,000 and 50,000 people,[4] making it one of the deadliest earthquakes in history.

This area is the entrance to the mediterranea at the Strait of Gibraltar, it's 1500 miles in a direct line to La Palma.

The tsunami from La Palma would absolutely wipe out the Southern tip of Spain, Morrocco and Portugal.

That's why they are holding this drill now!

Hopefully it doesn't happen but better to be prepared than scared.

We are all watching La Palama closely because if the West Flank collapses and the mega-tsunami becomes a live event there won't be much time to evacuate anything. What is it... 9 hours to reach the East Coast of the US?

There was a ominous tweet in the La Palama thread from a geologist studying the volcano that said the West Flank is currently moving. Would have to dig it up, but that's a concern. Lots of earthquakes today there as well. You just don't know. It could slide on the next large EQ or the next time this erupts in the future.

But considering the GLP effect seems to have fucked off and forsaken us it's probably sliding into the ocean to top off 2020/2021 endless doomfest.

This is the problem, they don't know if it will happen or not as the 1949 eruption caused the fault, it didn't collapse in the 1971 eruption and could stay intact during this eruption.

Not sure if anyone has any other confirmation of the West Flank being detached and moving, they do have sensors in place there to detect that. I haven't seen any confirming evidence so uncle Intel isn't always reliable.

One good violent eruption, or big earth quake potentially could cause the catastrophic collapse but to say definitively yes at the point would be misleading IMO. Yet in the same token... yes it could completely happen with this current eruption and at any time that's what makes it such a uncertainty for everyone there.

We are all watching it unfold I'm hoping it doesn't happen as we've had enough doom and the world needs a doom break.
