Good news. Best to make your own candies and treats from organic supplies. Get some organic slightly more expensive bought candies if people come to your door.
If covid rules or you're remote, parents do halloween parties amongst friends and family and that can be home made.

That's what makes modern candy so sweet and some candy chewy, it's 10 times sweeter than sugar. So a lot of candies didn't exist before that. So the trick is to eat only candy made without corn syrup, but it will not taste the same. Some candy can't be made without corn syrups. There is a brand of candy I used to love from Cali called Se...s. They eventually sold out and started using corn syrup, additives and artificial vanilla and it's never been the same. Also chocolate candy has to have high quality cocoa bean chocolate and real butter or it's not real chocolate.
