Before He pronounces final judgment on this world, Jesus is going to give the world one last chance to repent and place their faith in Him. This is the “time of testing that will come upon the whole world to test those who belong to this world.” The bible calls this time period “the tribulation,” and it will last seven years. Because life will be so horrific during this time period, Jesus will gather His followers before it occurs so they will be protected. Just as He protected Noah and his family from the flood, God will protect the righteous from the horrors of this time period.

When the rapture takes place, Jesus will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, accompanied by the call of the archangel and the trumpet call of God. At that time, all those who maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will be transformed into the spirit and caught up into the clouds to dwell forever with the Lord. All this will happen in the “blinking of an eye.” As Paul further describes:
“I can tell you this directly from the Lord: We who are still living when the Lord returns will not rise to meet him ahead of those who are in their graves. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the call of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. Throughout history, many faithful servants have confused this promise with that of the glorious appearing. However, the rapture is a completely separate event. Like a thief in the night, it will take the world by complete surprise, meaning it could happen at any moment. However, for those who are left behind, all hope is not lost. God is gracious, forgiving, and patient. Although the world will experience great tribulation, “a time of greater horror than anything the world has ever seen or ever will see again” (Matthew 24:21), those who “remain faithful even when facing death” (Revelation 2:10) will be awarded the crown of life. At the end of the seven years, Christ will return in the event known as the glorious appearing.

Seems to me more of you folks need to be reading the Bible, the word of God, yes, there is a rapture, but many will deceive and many will be left behind because they did not open their eyes or ears. Please before it is too late, get right with the Lord Jesus. He died for your sins and if you will ask for forgiveness and ask HIM into your heart you too will be gone in a "twinkle of the eye". Okay, I guess we got a little side tracked. The point that I was trying to make, was that do you think the Governments of the world are preparing a cover story for the rapture?
Whether it be a story involving the bird flu,nukes or Alien abductions to explain mass disappearances across the globe. Perhaps they will say it is a terrorist act involving neutron bombs.Who knows for certain.But with all of these forms of stories coming out in the media.Could it be possible that the Government is doing it on purpose without any actual threat of these things in order to have a cover story ready as a means of remaining in control or having some semblance of control and order after the rapture takes.

The "Rapture" is a figmemt of a drunken Irishman's imagination. I can't remember his name but an Irish "theologian" dreamed the "rapture" up around 1868. Now at least 59% of the American Sheople believe in it.

Matt 24 makes it clear. Those left behind are those that are left ALIVE unto the 2nd coming. Those taken away are those souls who have left their bodies because they were KILLED.

The Rapture will take place.And your fears or misinterpreted information and speculations wont change it.
However,my intent in posting this thread was to bring out into the open the possibility that the worlds Governments have already conceived a cover story for when the rapture of the Church takes place.
Could the Governments be attempting to prepare mankind for this event taking place by pre-warning of such things as Bird Flu or attacks by terrorists with nukes?Could the increase in UFO sightings be part of a cover story that will insinuate that Aliens abducted millions and mankind must therefore ban together with tanks and guns and weapons of mass destruction to use against Jesus and his army?Will they,the governments pronounce Jesus as being an Alien abductor so that mankind will turn on him in an effort to destroy him? And if so,who will lead the armies of the world?Who will be the mastermind behind it all?Who will sit on the throne and issue the orders in the new world order of things? Notice all of the truly devastating things that COULD remove thousands if not Millions of lives from this world that are being tossed around? Bird Flu, Chemical Warfare,terrorism and Nuclear bombs.Even the possibility of a UFO invasion!

When Jesus returns to take the saints to heaven for a thousand years, it is all over on earth. Nobody is left behind. Satan is left here on an empty earth with no one to torment for a thousand years, then judgement.
