-Despite the holiday, there is a greater than 1 Standard Deviation (16% excess) in the 15-44yo age-group.
-Also a greater than 1 Standard Deviation (11% excess) in the 45-64yo age-group.
-Covid Death figures are roughly in a stable-to-declining trend. (Table 3).

SMAN, is that political double talk? he will "tell" them he will do such and such. so warns them so they can shred the paperwork. an investigation of this magnitude should take what 3-5 yrs? does mankind have enuf time to wait for the results?

Jazz, your posts hit a note for me.
I have just concluded a month-long fight with my electricity supplier - they screwed up my bill - wrong rates, then doubled down and double-screwed it up... It's not funny - It was over $1,000 equivalent.

...then they managed to get it right...after I worked back through their bills in my own time...and explained very carefully why they had to undo the 'correction' they made, and fix it properly...

After they fixed it to my satisfaction, it was OK for four whole hours.. until the system (or someone!) put the wrong values together again...

then the person dealing with it went off sick...

and finally today.. it all seems correct.
I'm in credit!

But - the inability to solve problems, even when I am telling them the answer, is scary.

Inexperienced staff, brain damage, sickness/absenteeism, who knows... I think all of the above played a part in my problems.

I've been searching for a job here in Malta since January and I'm convinced I'm seeing widespread neurological problems. It was planned - I resigned from my old position and was financially sound, and I wasn't expecting to jump right into another position, but it's a nightmare.

I'm experienced, and qualified and there are quite a few jobs posted in my industry - but every single recruitment process I'm entering is turning into a joke.

The problem is literally recruiters and HR staff taking weeks to respond to emails, and then send the wrong information, or just stop communicating for no reason. Seriously, I was thinking it was me, but now I'm seeing lots of people say the same thing on LinkedIn, and hearing it from friends.

Also, here in Malta, there seems to be a sudden spate of road traffic accidents - yes, there are always lots of bumps on this crowded island, but things have go so bad recently that the government has announced they are setting up a special commission.

I'm increasingly convinced there is some mass neurological degenerative disease taking hold.
