You're King For A Day. What would you do to help the 'WORKING POOR' get healthcare, proper nutrition, housing, and education?

I would take away all their free shit and stop enabling the bad behavior.

They would sober up and find a job quick, if they couldn't get their free food and cell phones.

Why do they need anyone's help? Time for them to learn to take care of themselves. This is the problem, they won't learn anything if they are continuously taken care of.

There are all kind of jobs out there right now, paying lots of money for those without any education. Time they stand on their own two feet. No one owes them anything!

Maybe half pay of a 40 hour job and vouchers for an Associates or Trade School ?

Mandate no drug use and responsible alcohol use (to the best of the states ability), possible prohibition.

Mandate proper basic knowledge.

All those that adhere, are supported with help for basic needs only, given they also give monthly updates as to job searches, attempts to better themselves. Supplementation would be the key... if not trying at all, they quickly lose support. Food stamps can only be used to buy fresh produce. Way too much of that is wasted and will force them to eat healthy. Healthy eating, sounder mind, harder to remain addicted to drugs, unhealthy lifestlye choices.

NO MORE CHILDREN until while supported. You will lose benefits. Its hard to reconcile putting the child through that ordeal... some type of bigger adoption service would need to be set up... but we must put fear into their decision making to have unprotected reckless sex.

Support from the state, goes no longer than 5 years, unless circumstances are extenuating.

Parents are responsible for their children's well being and actions. The child is not punished. Child disciplinary restrictions are widenened within reason. You can beat your kids, but it can't be excessive... it will be encouraged that you follow the states example and restrict privelages rather than physical violence, but the state will not intervene. You raise your children, that is your domain. Likewise, if your children excell, grants are given to both parents and children. Encouraging you to take an active role in your child's success. The parents responsbility ends at 16... but if you were a good child, im sure your parent would want to continue supporting you further.



Re route funding -

Mandate that all assistance be taken away from those who dont meet those basic standards.

Jailing for hard drug use, is abolished. We wont punish those who cant meet the basic standards, but we will let them die.

This is not something that can be solved in a day...but...the true source of problems in the world is the traditional concept of lack of wealth. In developed countries we see this as a lack of income. So, you have two ways of giving people more, or better income...one, is give them jobs, or two, give them stuff. The way I see it is we need to ballance this equation...so, just to be fair to everyone, let's introduce universal socialism, but the hard core kind, like Stalinism. Now, everyone is given stuff, and with that out the way, we just need everyone to work. Under Stalinism, if were a shirker of your duty, soldiers would come to your door and take you to a 'quiet time place' where you could think things over a bit. Now that we have the jobs and stuff issue solved, the only thing we have left to think about are the rich bastards that caused this whole mess int he first place...but, in Stalinism you have no such people, that's because they were all asked to leave the country, or go to the "quiet place"...and since none of them ever came back from the quiet place, we must presume they all admitted they hated our freedoms and simply left the country of their own accord.

How about building more housing to lower the cost of this basic need? The government doesn't have to do it, they could just offer financing incentives. How about investing more public funds into education and health care instead of the military? How about removing corporate interest out of the health care business by going with a single payer state health care system, like everyone else? 50% of the cost of health care in the US comes from the Insurance companies sucking off the system like fucking vampires. How about increasing the minimum wage by like 300%?

OP and everyone else are making a basic mistake

They think there is a magical group of evil people, who hold the good working class from living a good and abundant life

But in fact it's the people themselves who create all the mess, so you cannot help them in any way, especially in 1 day

If you want to help them you would have to hold power and do things AGAINST the will of the people

But then you have much higher chance of actually ruining it even more and ending up like most other tyrants in history

So... there really is nothing you can do, just take your money and run

The most cost effective way would be to exploit the weak-minded, and destroy the rest.

I'd start off by arresting the deep state, every last one of them, and hanging them by their Buster Browns for the whole world to see for crimes against humanity.

Seize their assets and distribute them to the "working poor," and since they won't be around any more to steal our tax dollars in the future, we will have plenty of money to take care of the less fortunate.

But that is just a pipe dream. We will have to wait a bit more until the REAL King makes his appearance before we see any justice.
