You remind me of my grandmother OP. She loved to do the unannounced pop-in visit and we loved her dearly. But if we were laughing & having a good time when she arrived, she'd assume we were laughing at her and get all upset and leave in a huff. She did the same thing at church and ended up being a very reclusive person. She assumed everything was about her and always assumed the worst. I'm note sure if that qualifies as narcissism or what but that's the only thing that comes fo mind.

People can be awful for sure but people rarely do things purposely to hurt other people....they just do what they do and it only seems that way. Stay in your own head and don't assume the worst....especially if it's making you feel the need to lash out physically. Rise above it and do whatever you can to stay positive, confident and happy with yourself. Even if what you are alluding to is somewhat true, don't stoop to their level. Kill them with kindness and be the better person.
