Well im not going to divulge anything secret or sacred but you get the idea..
They say your journey as a mason begins at birth, and that makes sense even at this early stage.. theres just certain things we have in common.. hard to quantify... its a vibe check and that will also depend on the lodge you are petitioning. Out in CA i had trouble because man.... they were an odd bunch. Theres all types of masons too , some are mainly there for the philanthropy and fraternity, others enjoy the esoteric and ritual parts the most.. but we all do the same things even though we are from all walks of life. Its pretty cool, i meet all types of people. Learn a lot. Feels good man.jpg
Quoting: Plato seven of 9 Its almost as if “You are the Temple” ;) Human beings themselves are occulted. So in essence, a good way to describe Freemasonry is a very humanistic organization based on Universal principles that can be self-evident for some who like to think deeply. Akin to something like “The Hero’s Journey”… Mr. Skywalker Quoting: Ron Corleone Thats quite flatering, so I'm going to have to agree with you. Also think alchemy has a lot to do with masonry Ive said it before but theres an alchemical motto- "visita interiora terrae rectificando inviennnes occultum lapidem" "Visit the interior of the earth and by rectifying {what you find} you'll discover the hidden stone (which is the true medicine)[veram medicinum] Comes out to either V.I.T.R.I.O.L or VITROLIUM. Pretty neat huh Quoting: Plato seven of 9 Yes, and you can read the first degree initiation online and tells you such. To me, it is a lesson in becoming an introspective person. For man to truly begin to “know thyself”. And i didnt mean you personally are the Temple of God, I mean everyone is. Jesus told us “Do ye know not that ye are the Temple of God?” I notice a theme of Bible based teachings.. its almost like smacking you awake with what the Bible has already tried to teach, but “seeing they see not, and hearing they hear not”.. seems like Masonry is a shortcuto what may take someone a lifetime to learn by reading. Lessons in embodiment of the principles of whatever is good and pure in whichever respective religious text is being used. Just me “2 cents”.
