Cash rains on San Diego freeway from armored truck - CHP and FBI trying to ID cash grabbers
NOTE: if you intend to pick up money on the freeway, DON'T make a video incriminating yourself!

========================================

Several bags broke open, spreading money - mainly $1 and $20 bills - all over Interstate 5 on Friday morning as the truck was heading from San Diego to an office of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp, authorities said.

"One of the doors popped open and bags of cash fell out," California Highway Patrol (CHP) Sergeant Curtis Martin said.

Two people were arrested at the scene, and Sgt Martin warned that any others found to have taken the money could face criminal charges.

It says that two suspects have been arrested for cash grabbing already due to the fact that they locked themselves out of their car on the freeway. Moar arrest will be made, they say they have lots of video (stupid kids and their phones).

Pockets full of cash with the keys locked inside the car, while blocking 2 lanes of traffic. Dumb and dumber.

So, you believe this might be a law enforcement sting operation?

People believe it is legal to take the cash, but what if it was a load of lumber falling off a truck? Can you legally just start picking up as many 2x4s as you can take and believe it is your lumber ?

Cash seems to have strange effects on people's minds..

How does a "door open" randomly on an armored truck?

I bet they opened it to toss it out as a sine that the dollar is about to be worthless.

Shoplifting seems to be decriminalized in California, but not money from an armored truck..

What makes this even more criminal is that the attention whore making the video happens to be white. Biden's FBI especially will not tolerate Caucasians stealing - only people of color could get away with that it seems to me..

It’s not illegal since the armored truck drivers emptied their bags on purpose on the free way. They can however ask for the money back but this isn’t a box fell off the back of a truck type incident this is intentional dumping of money and there is no law they says you can’t pick it up.

Considering it wasn’t the armored truck drivers money to give out the company/insurance carrier will demand it back

Re: Cash rains on San Diego freeway from armored truck - CHP and FBI trying to ID cash grabbers
1st question: How do bags suddenly break open on in the back of a truck on the thruway?

2nd question: how do bags that broke open in the back of a truck on the thruway in an armored truck wind up in the open air?

3rd question: if you find something on the ground that you don't know who it belongs to, which has evidently been lost or discarded, how is that theft?

4th question: so if I lose a $100 bill in a costco parking lot, and someone else finds it and picks it up, who didn't see me drop it, that's theft?

The real trick is to learn to think critically; ask better and more questions. Don't accept anything at face value. Be sure you're making healthy decisions, getting adequate rest and spending proper time reflecting on things.
