I just watched the movie Jupiter Ascending thanks to OP and I have to say that was an excellent movie with a deep storyline that the common man would just say "it's just another sci Fi flick".
OP, do you think that earth has been "harvested" multiple times and hence why we only have recorded history up to the past 4-5,000 years? Despite the world being very old.
Also, I found it interesting that reptilians and greys we're in the movie.
