Basically to get us to accept it within our collective consciousness and agree to it happening so they can actually make it happen.

It sort of has to deal with the Karma system, they can't really force anything on us without facing some backlash, so they get us to accept it before it happens or after it to allow it to happen.

Some of it also has to do with the collective consciousness as a whole, sometimes we have memories of things that happen and exist and don't realize its memories and think we are just coming up with these stories too.

There's many different esoteric aspects to consider. We in essence are the builders of this reality, as we contain part of God within us, so sometimes they will also get us to manifest things into being for them by putting it in movies.
