You remember that Black Mirror episode where they controlled people through Blackmail? I think it is called "Shut up and Dance" or something like that.
I wouldn't be surprised if its real, in a sense, and the deep state & crooks (think the big political influence families), use such blackmail to activate agents to do crimes like this.
DON'T PUT IT PAST THEM TO BLACKMAIL SICKOS TO DO SICK THINGS.
