It will kill all pathogens and your bird comes out disinfected. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80759460 Thats only true for pathogens that are heat sensitive. Imagine Billy G. sends out his reps to pay the owners of the packing plants to add these special vials onto the meats. The CDC then tells the public dont wash your meats. Meats make everyone sick. Quoting: Dogsbollocks I always thought it was a REALLY BIG NO...NO Splashing bacteria in water all over the place, contaminating the fuck out of the Kitchen area. Cooking poultry correctly at the right temperature effectively kills all harmful bacteria. And means you haven't spread fuck knows what Bugs all over the Kitchen. Yep. It is a big no-no to wash away the prion and graphene juice. Obviously there's something to it if the CDC says NO to something so obvious. |

I know not turkeys but its similar. He said they put some chemical concoction into the birds now that kills salmonella and other crap. That plus cooking would kill all bacteria etc. Might be different in the u.s.. I forget what he said they used but it was pretty toxic shit. |

A slight exposure to salmonella from touching a counter where poultry will not make you sick and infact boost your immunity to future food poisoning. There is another theory mentioned, which states that this has already happened. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 81107682 United States 11/25/2021 01:59 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I've been a gourmet "Foodie" for decades and I can tell you that the debate about to wash or not wash a bird is about 50/50, one side saying yes wash it and the other side saying don't. Personally, I can taste when a bird hasn't been washed and I don't like that taste, so, I wash the bird. I'm also very good at bacteria control. I clean as I go, and every place raw bird has been, or even been washed, I spray down with a bleach spray. Never been sick from bird and no, don't want that nasty film of slime that builds up before it gets to my house. Wash the bird, then bleach down your sink area. Four sprays, chooch choooch chooch chooch, then a little wipedown with the paper towel which goes into the trash. That's it. |
