Get a grip on reality ok We voted in a $million budget increase for them 3 or 4 years ago and they're bitching now they want more money and are purposely slow rolling cars and refusing to dispatch. What we actually need is to DEUNIONIZE the police. Get rid of the ridiculous pensions. Install actual citizen review boards with teeth. The problem with US police forces is the constant sweeping under the rug of the bad apples. Every time something really goes down like the Floyd incident we find out the officer involved has a long history of complaints with no real consequences. No other profession allows employees to fuck up repeatedly and stay employed. Remove qualified immunity as it is being regularly abused. |
