A TDrop airdrop just occurred. Another one will occur early next year. Yes, you need to have Theta Token staked to receive it. You also get some TDrop airdrop if you did any transactions on ThetaDrop up to Janary of this year, since its inception.

Hey Butch, I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of Mark Moss but he seems like a pretty sharp guy. Below is a video he just put out exposing the criminal conspiracy surrounding the FTX crash. But more importantly, near the end of the video he talks about how he believes, eventually the SEC will declare 99% of cryptos as securities, which he believes will essentially kill them. You are in the know. I just started researching this aspect of most cryptocurrencies being securities versus commodities.

And remember that Theta is not offered, for the most part, on US-based crypto exchanges. And Theta never did an ICO.

However, people buy it with expectation of profit, and that is a characteristic of a security. Could go either way.

So, it's difficult to predict. What do you think?

I believe / sense that most cryptos will look like sitting ducks, while Theta Network / Theta Token stands out as one of the last worthwhile crypto investments.

Yes, Theta has the utility to bring it up to the ranks of Ethereum and beyond, in my opinion, EASILY. It's a sleeping giant about to awaken. And many don't even know about it, or know exactly what it offers / does.

Thanks for the info Butch. I'm scratching my head because I'm not a lawyer and not sure what "Notice of Exempt Offering of Securities" means. Does it mean that they are exempt from being a security or that they just filed to be exempt from being a security?

I don't know.
Reading the document, the document seems to state that nothing is set in stone about it.
However it looks like a notice of some kind of intent.
There is a reason they did that back in 2017.
I don't think the document guarantees that Theta Token will not be a security, but it is hard telling.
So far, it appears that Bitcoin is the only crypto pretty much guaranteed to be a commodity, and not a security.

Also, what are the disadvantages and or advantages of being a security or not? MAYBE being a security would be bullish for a token. Maybe regulation would attract investors.

What is the utility of REX?

To me, it looks like another purely speculative meme coin.

Theta Token is not toast. It's a tech company that has inherent crypto within it.

I first heard about Theta here on GLP. Back when you could get in for like two bucks. I researched it and found out you had to join Coinbase, start a wallet and then buy it off another exchange using only Etherum to purchase the T-fuel.
Things might have changed since then.
What kept me from jumping in was the affiliation with such large companies.
My tin foil just wouldn’t let me do it. That and creating a wallet was really disturbing to me. The password thing and all the questions. I felt like I would have put my two cents in and then like a retard lose the book with all my information on the wallet. Crypto Casey on you tube was very helpful in dispensing the information on how it all works. I’ll stick to gold and silver. I find it comforting to be able to actually hold my investments.
