I chose to remember Prince the way I did in 7th grade…he was so mysterious and seductive. Androgynous before it was the cool trend of today. Watched Purple Rain and enjoyed it for what it was. This was all back before the awakening…now there’s no sense in looking back or in trying to explain the innocence and excitement of those days. They’ll never be again. It’s a new day…a shittier day.
