Most guns don't have trigger safeties, that's a glock thing because glocks don't have other kinds of safeties. so glocks won't go off from anything but pulling the trigger, all modern handguns are drop safe, 1890s revolvers weren't

on an original colt style single action revolver the firing pin was right on the hammer and there wasn't a cross bar safety to stop something hitting the hammer from setting the gun off reproductions can be either, someone said pietos(sp) don't have them and Umberto's(sp) do if I'm remembering right.
I'm not an expert on revolvers but maybe if he pulled the hammer back and dropped it it would fire. I don't know how half cock notches work so maybe I'm wrong.

They still broke just about every firearm safety rule their is to get to that point and a movie crew gun lover on ar15.com was talking about many many layers of safety rules they would have had to completely ignore. Also shown by crew quitting because of safety concerns earlier that week.

How about this? Treat every gun as if it is loaded and never, ever, point it at anything that you do not want to kill or destroy, whether “acting” or not.

I don't think Alec intentionally killed Halyna. I think Alec should have quit movies a long time ago. He should be charged with manslaughter and spend a year or two in prison.
