Hello Friends :) Just like I said I will help OP in updating the thread.There is currently frequent quake activity in odd places .Mostly two pointers and above in magnitude .In odd places like SW Brena Alta (few quakes today there).And that's closer to old caldera than other quakes. That makes me hmmm

According to Volcano Discovery, there have been 87 quakes today. Yet even on Twitter, everything says there has been no seismic activity.

Is there an eq magnitude threshold you are hovering over when searching?

Ie minimum magnitude 3.5+ when all of these were 3.4 or less.

That was total quakes. There have been 6 over 3.0.

Depth for those?

They were all deep, 35 km and over.

There's probably a lot of heat still coming off the cone.

This morning several dust devils of sand and ash were photographed on the southern slope of the volcanic building on the island of #LaPalma , a very common phenomenon in volcanic areas.

Here's a thought. Based on nothing factual, just a casual musing.

Perhaps the more recent volcanic activity (last 5,000 years or so has always been headed to the main cone but came up in other locations due to weaknesses that developed in the main vent.

These weaknesses may not always be above but also horizontal and vertical in the downward direction.

The volcano may simply be done it this particular location as a new path has been found.

Their mottos never let a tragedy go to waste.

Of course it is the calm before the storm.

I believe that if TPTB can push this volcano into erupting again, they will! I hope the islanders aren't letting their guard down!

For once, TPTB cannot control this, even if they have tech we can't even dream about, because thank GOD solar 25 is in charge, and they just don't have all the tech to mitigate all that is coming.

Pay attn: Mediterrean "partial ring of fire" ->Atalanti fault -> Azores-Gibraltar transform -> straits of Gibraltar -> Canaries

Pay attn: Caribbean plate "ring of fire" connects with mid-Atlantic ridge -> Canaries

There are many more active major fault zones that connect to the Canaries.

Once it has been unleashed by this Sun Cyle 25, it takes on a life of its own, and no one can say anything is over.

They know this, why the Canaries have always been the ones to watch.

SO2 has been updated from <5t/d to 75t/d.

Non-eruptive, but active volcanoes (like this one currently) do emit gasses.
In fact, about half of the ~90 active volcanoes are non-eruptive with a portion of those emitting gasses.

Tremor dropped down some more. But if the deep quakes continue… I expect this to change or ground deformation to become extreme.
