The ear wax has both lubricating and antibacterial properties. Untreated buildup can lead to hearing loss, irritation, pain in the ear, dizziness, ringing in the ears and other problems. Earwax can be removed in several ways; some of these methods can be done at home. [link to my.clevelandclinic.org (secure)] |

Use a syringe that has a nosle with a bend to it. Have some one help you. They will pull down on the ear lobe and then spray they warm water into your ear. Try for 30 mins spraying and draining over and over. Stool softener left in the ear for a while will also loosen things. You shouldn't really need hydrogen peroxide anymore. |

Your Crazy Mom User ID: 81456314 United States 12/19/2021 03:24 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Shouldn't have been that painful unless your eardrum is actually torn, i.e. has a hole in it. That would also explain the muffled sound; it just doesn't vibrate correctly if torn. You need a doc to physically look in there before putting anything else in there. I'm not a doctor but I played one on tv. Best wishes. |

FightForGod! User ID: 80146778 United States 12/19/2021 03:28 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | DO NOT leave the hydrogen peroxide in for more than 15-20 minutes. Always flush it out with warm water using a syringe. DO NOT jam the syringe into your ear canal when doing this or you can damage your ear drum! There need to be space for the fluid to escape. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 ESV Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Anonymous Coward User ID: 81574044 United Kingdom 12/19/2021 03:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Been a bit stupid. So, my ear has been a little bit muffled (from ear plug use?)for a week or so, really mild pain. I used some Otex Express but my ear just feels full and it hasn't done anything. Quoting: FataM0rgana So today I put some hydrogen peroxide in, I think 11%. Okay, wow-I felt sick & dizzy and the pain was unreal. On a scale of 0 to childbirth(10), around a 7. This has lasted for hours, I've taken a lot of painkillers & it has eased but still painful and now more muffled. The pain was such that I was moaning with how bad it was I tried the Otex again to see if that helped and another spray with acetic acid in but pain went to about a 7.5 A doctor did tell me over the phone to carry on using the hydrogen peroxide and drops-yes. Not the best place to post but I'm not on other forums or social media-just wanted to know if anyone has had anything similar happen or you know what I've done Weirdly, I got this right before covid in march 2020, overuse of in-ear headphones on a building site, a big puss ball grew in my ear, I think it was an in-growing hair, popped it with a cotton bud and pus poured out for about a week, very sore, swollen head, went to doc. and got ear drops but they told me I burst my eardrum with the cotton bud. I didn't, it was an in-growing hair on the bottom of the ear canal. Hope it goes away soon. |

I saw every Dr, ER, cat scan, peroxide, antibiotics, had tubes put in at 56. I tried it all and was never once refered to an ENT until my last time at the ER they were sending me home to die I guess, Wife threw a fit they sent in an ear DR and I was admitted straight ti ICU.
