I never bought into crypto as it is controlled by the same powerbrokers so IMO it gets a wash also
Gold and Silver and other PM's etc will always be valuable if you have it and not paper that says you do

My feelings are an educated guess-series 7, 6 and 63 educated- I worked for a thief in one of the largest ponzi schemes in my state so I learned a thing or 2 - Granpa taught me price/ earnings ratios when I was 11 in Barrons- I quit the brokerage firm when I realized how corrupt and controlled the markets etc were. So my educated guess is if it doesn't happen this week it will be very soon

It is the right time since most people would think it is because christmas is over and the major purchasing spree is over. You can augment that with additional dropping of the market and the people won't know how to seperate the 2 causes very well.

Mostly driven by dollar inflation. There are more dollars pursuing the same value in an equity.

I know nothing about financial markets but I was in a local grocer on 23rd and a manager told me that they were informed that they should prepare to have many empty shelves after Jan 1st!

Here are some things you missed.

Chinese contagion. US funds have been using Chinese commercial paper as collateral. It’s why non of the bond holders who weren’t getting paid said anything. They weren’t getting paid, but a downgrading of their Chinese collateral would be worse.

Student loan backed securities. Aka MBS but with student loans. RIP

And my personal favorite. Last February there was a small midcap
Shorted north of 200 percent. This was after the “short squeeze” in January. What MANY have failed to miss, is that the GameStop situation proves that the crooks managed to turn the markets FIAT. Personally I think they did it at the behest of the FED as a monetary tool to disguise inflation across markets. The companies that went bankrupt were the icing for the market makers coordinating in naked shorting.

The REAL question is why isn’t anyone realizing how contrived all this is? Remember the surz being blocked? Cargo ships waiting offshore because of regulations on truck emissions? Food suppliers shutting down.
