Isn't that their job?  No, nato is supposed to be a defensive pact. Russia is saying straight that nato is planning for all out war with russia, and are pushing this onto russia. There is a big difference between the two states. exactly, NATO is a defense pact but you have to be in it in order to be safe and protected by the alliance and the Russians are denying that right to some countries
